I'm older. I saw Dempsy hit the 63 yard field goal vs Detroit Lions. Never will forget after the kick Alex Karras just lying face down on the ground kicking and screaming.

Kick 6
And I actually saw Auburn win a Natty in person. Never thought that would happen
Almost saw a second one

Bird going for 60 at the Lakefront Arena. It was completely insane the array of shots he was making against pretty damn good defenders.

I saw a one handed pitcher throw a no hitter in Yankee Stadium. It was my first and last mlb game, figured everything else would pale after that.

Mitchell Robinson catching an alley oop off the backboard on one end and then hustling to swat Holy Cross on the other end…

Saw Melvin Gordon rush for 408 in only three quarters against Nebraska in 2014. Samaje Perrine from Oklahoma broke the record the next week (427 yds in 4 quarters).
DBacks beating the Yankees in Game 7 of 2001 WS.
Wisconsin Badger BB team beating 38-0 Kentucky team in the FInal Four in 2015. Duke then beat Wisconsin in the championship game.

How the hell he ended up with a 6'2" son? Most athletic guy i've ever played against, and he passes his athletic genes along and adds half a foot in height.
I used to know a literal dwarf whose son was 6'4".

Player on my team was suspended for the first half, then scored like 30 points in the second half.

A couple of things, both involving L.S.U. baseball in the 2009 season.
Outfielders Leon Landry and Nicholas Pontiff and catcher Micah Gibbs each launched grand slams, and the top-ranked Tigers blasted seven home runs Saturday to overpower Illinois, 22-10, in Alex Box Stadium.
Ryan Schimpf and Blake Dean launched back-to-back home runs twice in a 10-run fifth inning as the fourth-ranked Tigers overpowered in-state rival Tulane, 13-2, in seven innings.

Saw Mike Anderson run for 252 and 4 TDs for the Broncos against the Saints in 2000.
Pretty good fantasy day.

I don’t go to many games to have seen anything significant. I did see a rare Pete Maravich dunk vs Golden State on a breakaway. 1978 probably

That HUGE run he had is unfortunately the only thing I remember from that game as that was the day I discovered jungle juice. Wisdom gained, lessons learned. It was HOT that day too

I've seen:
Joe Burrow torch Oklahoma.
the 7 OT nightmare in College Station
Les Miles last bout of incompetence at Auburn
But probably most impressive, I watched Mark McGwire hit homer number 45 against the Brewers in 98.

I saw Mark McGuire hit a ball in BP at Turner field, that broke the scoreboard in left field - if the Score Board had not been hit, it would have landed in the Parking Lot - it was still going up when it hit the SB at the top of left field.
but my greatest/Amazing was the Braves sweeping the Reds the year they won the 1st WS of many. was my very 1st MLB game.

1991 Phil Mickelson amateur golfer qualified for his first US OPEN at Germantown CC in Memphis. He and His Caddie Bones shared I table w me between rounds . I told him that d come specifically to watch him. We got along great and w no ropes I stood 10’ from him entire round as he shot course record 62. Heard every word he and Bones said and saw a display of golf shots I’ve never witnessed since and never will. He was w Yonex at the time and told me all about his tinkering with every club. I’ve talked to him at events since and he remembers me and of course that day . CSB

I was working at LSU media production in the fall of 1988. Chris Jackson was an incoming freshman and we were shooting the cover of the media guide on a random weekday afternoon. He walked into the PMAC wearing polo shorts a t-shirt and running shoes.
They were setting up lighting for the shot when he walked into the PMAC wearing polo shorts a t-shirt and running shoes. He was painfully shy, didn't make eye contact and his Tourette's (I had no idea he had it or what it was at the time) made him look borderline handicapped and I thought he might be on drugs.
And then he picked up a basketball. His entire demeanor changed. He became more animated and we started shooting around and talking basketball. I was an average 6 ft 165 lb white guy good enough in high school to make all-state and had been around a number of great high school players. He looked nothing like any of them. We started shooting and after about 15 mins the 15-20 people in the arena had all stopped moving and got real quiet. I realized in that time he had not missed a single shot. Not one. From layups to goofing off with 35-40 footers. Not exaggerating, it had to be at least 50 shots.
For the photo, they wanted just his had hand palming the ball over the rim. They had a ladder there for him to stand on. They couldn't make it look natural enough, so they had him move the ladder and asked him to lay it up. Instead, he casually took two dribbles and went above the rim, hung in air perfectly still and dunked so casually, the shot came out with amazingly sharp focus.
After the shoot, as everyone was packing up, we moved to the other end and he made 25 free throws in a row while I rebounded for him. I touched the ball twice to tap it back to him. 23 of the shots grazed the back rim as it went in the and ball spun back to him at the line at the exact same spot. At that point, I was the one who looked like he had Tourette's.
The '88 media guide? Dumbass LSU athletics decided to go with a photo of the ball only.

Awesome story Basura.
Anyone who got to see Chris Jackson just shoot a basketball for fun was in for a treat.
Same as you, I was a decent enough basketball player to hang with good college players, but when you come across someone like this it makes you realize real quick there's a couple more levels above you of elite athletes, and you aren't even close to those levels.
