This is stupid. You cant take away the roid argument but leave him with the roid numbers/statistics

If the roid argument is out then 25% of his hits and HRs need to go. And 25% is being generous. He is not a HOF

The roid argument for exclusion is dumb. Who gives a shite what he took to make himself better? Isn't that what fans want? Athletes performing at their peak? The same thing with taking away wins for NCAA rules violations. Some fricking kid getting a free sandwich or a tattoo didn't change the result of the game. Just like McGwire still hit those home run bombs. The people who bitch about PEDs always come across to me as pencil neck pussies who are just jealous that these athletes are doing shite that they can only dream about doing.

Sportswriters are the worst. 265# freaks running 4.6 for the 40 in the NFL and not one of them utters a peep. You let one Dominican shortstop piss hot and, all of the sudden, it's some huge indictment on baseball.

Mark McGwire hit 49 hrs all natural his rookie year. 30 plus homeruns the next 2 seasons all natural. Didn't start using consistently until 93

if he was the only roid user back then, no. But, the reality is the most of the players back then were on something or another, so, he should go based on his performance.

Actually, should sound like the stupid one if you can’t understand what he’s saying.

The guys before them did a toot of blow for pick me up, the guys before them ate amphetamines like tic tacs and the guys before them pounded caffeine. Writers are sanctimonious duchebags. Clemons was shot after Boston, so he could go home or take a shot for 11 more years and 100 million bucks. Give me the shot and frick your hall of fame.

Him and Sammy Sosa saved baseball.

Not only should they be in the HOF...it's should be named The McGwire Sosa MLB Hall of Fame...across the street from the Pete Rose Truck Stop

Dumb argument esp considering McGwire and Kingman were contemporaries. Their numbers can be compared lol

I suspect Rose will get in someday. When he's not alive to enjoy it.

Bonds in particular should get in. Per sources, and looking at the numbers, he started juicing only when McGuire and Sosa started obviously getting away with it (Sosa in particular, he had some pop but wasn't an upper echelon type slugger until he somehow belted out 66 homers).

he had plantar fasciitis at Oakland. he looked done very young. my guess he used something in st Louis to heal his foot that had side benefits.

I actually caught a game at Wrigley in May of 98, Cubs vs Giants.

Bonds looked normal in left field, my seats were in left field bleachers.

Sosa running out to right field looked enormous, like Bo Jackson running out there… and just a couple weeks later the month of June came along and he hit 20+ homers that month.

Well, that's why I made that statement because I feel like they all should get in if McGwire gets in. I think y'all misunderstood my statement in thinking that I was against Bonds, Sosa, Clemens and others getting in. Hell, noo, I'm for them all getting in and they should have been a long time ago. Hell, Pete Rose should have been in a loong time ago. These sport writer geeks wanna punish these great ball players for off the field transgressions when there's more to it than that. They just wanna play judge and jury with these great ball players probably out of jealousy like some people have said, that they weren't born with these great athletic abilities. Lol But peds to me just gives these athletes an edge to stay in better shape longer, not be injured as much, to endure the rigors of the game that a normal human body could not do. It doesn't give you the skill to hit homers or throw fastballs over a 100 miles an hour like these great players were doing before they started taking the peds.
