Sun Belt gives ESPN reign on ULL name

The email sent Sunday by a Sun Belt executive was addressed to ESPN personnel, and both UL and Sun Belt officials received copies.
It reads:
“For this upcoming Tuesday’s broadcast, we would like to make it clear that the Sun Belt Conference will not dictate to ESPN how an institution should be referenced. The choice on how the universityis referred to on air and in graphics during the broadcast will be determined in conjunction between ESPN and the respective universities.”

I don't know about the other people who went to the university in Lafayette, but I went to The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, or ULL. Not UL. Not "Louisiana".
Call it what it is.

Let's just call it USL, frick.
Saying ULL sounds weird to me, and when I refer to the school as UL being that I am in the state of Louisiana, people know exactly what I am talking about. I call Louisville... Louisville, not UL. If I am out of state I'll refer to it as UL-Lafayette. People bitching about the school being called UL by residents of this state can eat a dick. It's ridiculous to get mad over.
