I can't disagree with that. Shut up and play. Russ isn't totally to blame. He's damned sure outplayed his receiver corps. They have done nothing to help their QB out.

Young buck fricked around with an old bull and found out. Smith definitely dropped a truth bomb right there.

A TV correspondent should never use that word even if they’re black.

Even with Russell Wilson as his QB?

It’s not like he was doing anything before Wilson got there.

I'm not trolling and this is a seroius question...would teams call Steve Smith for his advice on trades? Is he invovled with the league still in any real capacity?

I believe he's referring to the Panthers potentially shopping for a WR. They actually may be tight. It was just another way to rip on Jeudy.

It’s wild because to me it’s been the exact same experience with OBJ. He seemed like a stellar teammate at LSU, had a nice couple of NFL seasons and then just completely went off the deep end.

Has to be money and fame.

I think the worst thing to ever happen to OBJ was that one handed catch.

All the accolades went to his head and he was never the same afterwards.

He’s had an 850+ yard season and a nealry 1000 yard season(14 games each).

You obviously want more out of him but given the injuries, he’s not out here playing terrible football in his early career.

Steve is acting ridiculous here.

Steve smith is up in his feelings because he criticized Jeudy and now Jeudy doesn’t want to talk to him that’s little girl behavior on smith. If he wants to be a journalist then act like one

Or you know he could have ignored him and not used such a "hurtful" word.

Its funny that Jeudy was considered WR1 on the 2019 Bama squad but is at best the 4th best NFL receiver

Very uncalled for by Smith here.

JJ used a racial slur against a man trying to apologize, and SS just ended what little career Jeudy had left

Rough couple years for Bama WR alums

It’s wild to see.

In Tuscaloosa Jeudy was by all accounts locked in and spent an incredible amount of time and focus learning how to run tight routes and maximize his talent which I thought had a lower ceiling than guys like Waddle, Ruggs etc because he wasn’t violently athletic like they were.

I’m not sure if it’s catching his first big paycheck but he’s not the same guy he was at Bama and I agree he has a hard lesson coming because he is completely unimpressive so far in Denver.

I wonder if he needs a Saban style disciplinarian to keep him motivated and that’s not how it works in the NFL.

I think that Jeudy's only real exceptional quality is speed, and he was able to outrun most people in college. But in the NFL, everyone is fast and you have to be physical, not let DBs bully you, and win 50/50 battles. He wasn't really a guy that battled for a bunch of 50/50s in college, or made circus catches.

I have defended him for a while, but the sequence of him seemingly not even trying to make that catch in the endzone, followed by Courtland Sutton fighting off the DB and making a ridiculous TD catch was just a bad look. And this after all the hoopla with Steve Smith. It was a grand opportunity to prove people wrong. I'd love for him to turn it around, but his time in Denver has been a bust.

I think what's hurting him is guys like Jefferson, Lamb, Aiyuk were drafted after him and have put up considerable better numbers than he has.

I think Steve Smith is basically speaking directly to Panthers front office and telling them to not make this trade
