I'm not blaming him. I just think that may compromise the investigation.

My mom just gave me a bunch of shite to go through that was in the attic and in there was the framed baseball cards set thing from the 1987 Cardinals team you had given me.

That thing is a treasure and you should feel honored.

It would tell the Cardinals what the Astros were focusing on in the draft, allowing them to pick players they wanted the round before, for example, while also (potentially) giving them a leg up in trade talks as they would know how Houston truly valued players.

It would tell the Cardinals who the Astros were talking to about potential trades, giving them insight into other teams' private plans and actions as well.

So you might want to quit being a Hack (different use of the term than you Cards people are used to).

Cards fans real slow to chime in on this.

They've got to get their spin story straight on the Cardinal message boards before they branch out to the other sectors of the internet to do damage control.

I honestly don't think it will be any more compromised than any investigation would be, given that the search committee was basically a formality.

There is always going to be a level of compromise when the guy doing the investigating works for the people he's investigating.

I bet, in retrospect, they wish they had hacked into the Braves 'Jason Heyward' database.

I agree with you. And I guess maybe the subjective/arbitrary enforcement is what's affected, probably misleading to say the investigation would be since that is headed up by Uncle Sam.
