It was bad no doubt. Certainly worse than people clinging to it 13 years later but you're getting there.

He's a good manager in the sense he gets a lot from his players. Which is great over 162. He's a bad manager in that he makes horrible decisions at important times.

Any chance the time changes with USC and Uga delayed until Sunday?
Im not arguing if the call was right or wrong. It was most likely wrong as you say.

But without replay the call was still out.
Lastella got sent down what seems like almost a month ago. Surely the 10 day rule applies to when he was sent down not when he reported, right?

Either way he probably still needs more abs and I'm in no hurry to bring him back as I tend to fall more in the category of his refusal to report was a dick move.
Might as well, runner at 3rd is only one that matters.
Yea speed review up. Missing a call isn't great but it's not as bad as spending 5 minutes to still miss it.
Yea no doubt it was a strike but he missed his spot pretty bad and catcher is having to reach for it.
Looked like a strike. But very typical Cubs way of winning no. 10 in a row.
Good news here is even Matheny isn't dumb enough to throw at Bryant here....right?

Oh no doubt. Just try to keep it from being head hunting this time.
Yea but unlike Richard he does show flashes of why a lot of people believe/believed in him.

Hehe. Just trying to add drama to an otherwise pretty easy as she goes season.
Willie loves to sling it. I look forward to the day when discretion wins out.

but the Yanks definitely got the better end of this deal.

Isn't that usually the case for the seller at the trade deadline?

Wade Davis probably becomes available and wouldn't have cost the Cubs nearly as much.

Did he recently go on the dl and I didn't know about it. Because that's the only way that statement is even close to plausible.

She's not the only fan to feel this way. She's allowed to still be a Cubs fan and feel icky about the signing at the same time. Particularly after Epstein said they were going to build this team with high character guys.

Yea not sure why people have to separate the two. Either hate the guy and thus Have people tell you to stop being a fan or just say guy throws 103 so who cares. He certainly helps the team but I can completely understand why someone is passionate that he shouldn't have been traded for. Jonah Kerri retweeted someone who was donating money to dv causes for every save he gets. That's a positive way for that fan to deal with the mixture of emotions.
