Bowling and curling (i.e., Canadian bowling) should be able to be competed without distinction between sexes.
Yet, in both of those, women have their own category, presumably because they can't consistently compete with men successfully at the highest levels (even if some women have won top competitions).
That being the case, I doubt there is any sport where men and women can compete on a level playing field.

Someone told me once that males & females compete against each other in some Equestrian events.
I’ve always wondered why women are not more competitive in Chess. Maybe they just view it as not worth the long hours (and there are no male Chess players worth chasing after).

There’s a new cooking show that’s being billed as “sports like” so that one.

Bowling
Bowling can be schemed to screw over women, or anyone with a lower rpm/spin rate, by oiling the lanes in certain ways

If I'm not mistaken women are better at super long distance swimming

Nope. Women cannot do the Iron cross, same with the horse (upper body strength)
quote:Women don’t do parallel bars. That’s a men’s only event. Women do uneven bars. Parallel is more arm, shoulder, core strength. Uneven is more flight and transition oriented.
parallel bars women are also better at because of flexibility and range of motion.
Men also have pommel horse and horizontal bar that the women don’t do.

Men struggle with the balance beam.

Sport where you can legitimately pit women vs men?
The Iditarod - at least 2 women have won, sometimes multiple years in a row
Free Diving (NLT) - this is the insane one where you go as far down in the ocean as you can without oxygen tanks. A woman briefly held the world record here.

Billiards is the closest. Pool and Snooker are other cue sports but you need more cue power for them. Especially Snooker.

If "sport" is defined as something requiring athleticism, no.
Shortening a golf course to its shortest length so that everyone's chipping and putting could make them equal, I guess, but that ain't golf.

Lis Hartel. She was also paralyzed from the knees down due to polio. Used this as a question for trivia one time.
Dressage at the Olympics was open only to commissioned military officers until 1952, and in that year Hartel was one of the first women to compete against men in an equestrian sport at the Olympics.[9] Her silver medal in 1952 for Individual Dressage was the first by any woman in any individual sport when in direct competition with men at the Olympics, and she was also the Danish champion in dressage that year.

True, but if we’re talking about one random event, a woman can definitely beat men in a Tour event
