Reid has been around for a long time. Maybe Eric is waiting around for him to retire soon. He's definitely not going to outlast Mahomes' career. The next Kansas City coach will have several years of prime Patrick. It's going to be a sweet gig.
Andy Reid is 62, he's got a good bit longer IMHO.
As for his controversies, he hasn't had any issues for over a decade. Hell you could say 2. He was 31 at that time, it would be one thing if it was a few years ago.
More questionable candidates have had hc gigs. I just wanna know why EB can't get even a shot.

What if, get this, Eric Bieniemy is a shitty interview
That is the long-standing rumor why he hasn't been hired yet. He's been tanking interviews left and right.

What if, get this, Eric Bieniemy is a shitty interview or has no idea how to lead an organization or the skills to communicate that plan if it exists. Why even interview people if you are just hiring based on resume?
I'm sure there are more than a few of us here who have interviewed some complete duds with solid resumes before. Getting a read on a candidate's personality, demeanor, and communication skills matters to any employer. Especially an NFL franchise that is essentially hiring the face of their organization.
I know people seek outrage around every corner these days, but turning this into a bigger deal than it probably is only does a disservice to Bieniemy.
It also depends on how long Reid stays. If I'm EB and I know Reid is stepping down in 2 years... why the hell would I go somewhere else? Mahhomes in his prime is something I can build around.

I hear criticisms of Bieniemy, but I also know special pleading when I hear it. This league falls all over itself for Adam Gase and Bill O'Brien. Decision makers are only extra-picky about a top coordinator when it confirms their biases.
This is true and pretty damning

Some of these tweets aren’t wrong, but in general, it’s hilarious to see these guys lose their shite over something that hasn’t even happened yet.

How does that guy know the biases of strangers?
He’s basically calling them racist for not hiring a guy that he also doesn’t know.

I looked it up and it was when he was 24, had a DUI in 01 and a few other small things in college. The CU rape scandal stuff is probably the only thing to really be concerned about.
I've only seen the documentary The Gospel According to Mac once.
was just a youngster when they emerged as a powerhouse for a few years.

He's nearly interviewed for all the vacancies. If he's not hired by one that's on him
There's almost like some reason teams would be forced to interview him...

Doesn't Andy Reid call his onw plays? Perhaps it's OC in title only and he isn't as good as they think he is.

Could also be that Bieniemy is such a hot name at this point, he'd have more clout than a lot of teams would want a... how shall I put this... Black coach to have.
The other takes are somewhat rational, at a minimum, but this one is patently absurd.

EB has been Reid's OC since 2017. His previous previous OCs:
Matt Naggy- Bears HC
Doug Pederson -Just fired as Eagles OC, SB champion
Marty Mornhinweg- Had already been a HC before he was Reid's OC
Doug Pederson went from a High School coach to a NFL Head Coach in 7 seasons .
Brad Childress -Got the Vikings job, overal winning record
Rod Dowhower- Looks like he retired after 2001.
I don't know how he would be as a HC, but Chiefs players swear by him. I keep seeing speculation he's their HCIW, but if that was the case why on earth is he interviewing for all these jobs?
