@NFL_DougFarrar Could also be that Bieniemy is such a hot name at this point, he'd have more clout than a lot of teams would want a... how shall I put this... Black coach to have.

If you’re gonna come this hot Doug start naming names of teams. That’s a pretty serious fricking allegation accusing teams of actual point blank racism. Otherwise you’re just looking for more Twitter followers.

Maybe he’s not impressive in interviews. It’s poss he’s just a lackey for Andy who’s been doing his thing for years. You can’t just hire him cause he’s black if you don’t believe he can win.

Absolutely, those sports opinion shows run in packs and they've all been circling around this story like buzzards the last week. They will absolutely make it a big deal until another story comes along that moves it aside.

The posturing is turning into almost a threat it seems that "someone better hire Bienemy or else".

I can remember the media literally forcing Notre Dame to hire Willingham...that worked out well didn't it? He did even worse at Washington after that.

Who wants to give the Chiefs more draft picks at this moment in time? After learning of the haul you get for losing a minority staffer... shiiiit.

I’d love someone to hire him away. Means more pieces for KC to play with.

I guarantee you that someone on the Chargers football operations team has marked this as a negative against Bieniemy. That is why this rule is so damn stupid.

Let’s move the goalposts for Black coaches again. Teams now questioning Bieniemy as a HC candidate because of Reid’s coaching tree which has two coaches still in the playoffs is BS. Belichick disciples track record is checkered.

This is not wrong

Maybe teams don't want to be responsible for giving the Chiefs extra draft picks.

I think Bienemey's closet of skeletons has more to do with it

and again, it also doesn't make teams racist for questioning his involvement in the offense. Pete Carmichael can't get a sniff as a HC, because most rightly assume Payton is the straw that stirs the drink.

If you have 2 candidates that are fairly close to each other and hiring one of them gives a rival team 2 3rd round picks for free, who do you think is gonna get hired 100% of the time?

Will it be racist when the Texans hire Jim Caldwell?

I think that’s reasonable

This is also true in and of it self. The Carmichael example is a good one though do we know if Pete C wants a HC job, you’d think if he did he and or Payton would have said something.

It is also worth pointing out multiple Belichick DCs have gotten jobs (in including Crannel who is black) despite all failing miserably so that kinda becomes an easy cop out. How many McVay coaches/dudes he may have said hi to got jobs?

maybe they're better at bullshitting and selling themselves in the interview process than Eric? I just don't get the fake outrage over him not getting a job. In a league that has started to steer towards hiring offensive coaches you had a team with offensive woes that go back a decade and poised to draft a hopeful franchise QB...elected to go with a defensive coach over Eric, who also happens to be a minority hire.

Maybe its Eric.

i think there is a pecking order of desirable OCs right now and #1, by far, is still calling plays for Josh Allen

why would a team settle for 2 or possibly #3 (depending on where you rank Arthur Smith) only to give him a couple weeks advantage? NFL teams don't have a February signing day

Yeah that's the dirty little secret that no one in the media wants to talk about. I can think of a lot more negatives against Bieniemy than positives for him.

and that's just what's out there from a simple google search....

I just want him to get hired so the same twitter pearl clutchers that advocate blindly for him will then be forced to call for his resignation "Outrage on social media as Bieniemy's past uncovered....via wikipedia"

Yes, this has been out there for a very long time. Supposedly he had a horrendous interview with either UVA or UNC that was mocked for years after.
