Even weekly probably isn't enough for the latter.

LSU was originally Navy Blue and White before adopting Purple and Gold.

McNeese was originally purple and gold. I believe they had borrowed/bought uniforms from LSU when the program first started in the 1940s. They remained purple and gold until 1970 when the blue and gold was adopted.

Colorado State sometimes wears a throwback that is orange and green, not entirely unlike Florida A+M.

New Mexico also has a throwback that turns them from red and silver to red and teal.

It's kinda cool how they sometimes break out the green jerseys to get beat down in prime time.

Arkansas has stayed pretty consistent.

Someone on the hill tried to push the anthracite for a while, but I’m not sure anyone actually thought that was a good idea.

Ole Miss with the powder blue everything. It started with helmets in the 60s(?) due to an error in the paint mixing and it just stuck around until the 90s. Powder blue as a primary color for uniforms started, IIRC, with their baseball team doing it on Sundays and then the rest of their programs followed suit, so much so in football that they rarely ever seem to wear navy anymore.

Ole Miss went to navy helmets with Colonel Reb on them from around 1972-1982.

When Billy Brewer took over in 1983, he brought back the powder blue helmets because that was the color when he played in the late 50's. Also, Colonel Reb was fazed out. 1983-94 helmets.

When Ears Tubberville was hired they went back to the Navy helmets and kept the Ole Miss script which they've kept as their main helmet ever since.

I think the current uniforms look just as good.

I do prefer the matching stripe on the helmet but with the grey mask would make it perfect.

When Dallas Baptist first opened in 1965 their colors were blue and gold and their mascot was the Indian.

In the 1980's they changed their mascot to the Patriot, and at that time changed their colors to Red, White and Blue.

Penn State used to be black and pink
Black and pink were the original school colors, and only used by the baseball team one season. During the year, the black and pink faded to a navy blue and white, which was a much more popular color scheme.

Kentucky's original colors were blue and yellow way back in the black and white picture days before we settled on the blue and white you all know and love today.

IMO this was the best, they didn't need to reinvent the wheel when they had the best to begin with.

No idea how true it is but as the story goes A&M's original colors were red and white. Then at some point in the nineteen-teens the uniform makers screwed up and sent us maroon ones. The coaches decided to keep the color scheme b/c it made it harder to see who had the ball.

No real proof of that ever happening though and the earliest mention of A&M's colors being maroon and white is in The Spirit of Aggieand which was written in 1925.

Proud to say my alma mater is nowhere ITT.

AU uniforms 1972:

AU Uniforms, 2022:

Save for that brief orange jersey aberration in the Barfield era, we’ve had essentially the same unis since they added faceguards to the helmets.

Do not like, loved the Terry Donahue days

Now the shoulder stripes are better b/c they are bigger, but the decal should have remained navy blue and with a grey mask, and navy for road unis.
