Verlander I’m sure appreciates his co-worker laughing off his criticism lmao. What a fricking beta

Verlander’s off-field escapades qualify him as the greatest man who ever lived. He gets a pass.

Must be nice pitching in a league without the DH.

So, he also says it's obvious that they're traveling farther with less drag.

Scherzer cares less about his place in history.

Easier to do at his present level, but his prerogative.

Yes, he admits the ball is different but says he doesn’t give a shite.

You mean a league where pitchers are actual baseball players?

Maybe he's an idiot?

Has Verlander not had an opportunity to go to an NL team in free agency?

That doesnt make any sense in this context.

Max said essentially "It is was it is. Im not going to play the victim. The playing field is level. Lets go take care of business."

How the frick is that like a Democrat? You are....not smart.

He is a competitor that doesn’t care about things he can not control and goes out and does job.

Verlander can’t and won’t change the ball and would rather throw a temper tantrum because he doesn’t like getting bombs hit off of him.

Because he doesn't care enough about the game from a historical perspective.

Previous accomplishments and sacrifices have no bearing on him.

Once he accomplishes more, hindsight may not be kind to him, when held up against previous ages.

But, hey, good luck to him.

Nobody does. It’s a different game

Makes no difference to his bank account, so why does he care

Not all players care. I read an anonymous letter from a professional athlete that said 90% are in it for the money and don’t care about winning, history, etc

He's also not out here playing victim and is doing the best he can with the cards he is dealt while others are throwing a fit. Still sounding like your vision of a Democrat to you?

What a weird direction this thread took.
