Just breaking. I saw a picture of him taken recently and he didn’t look good at all, way older than 68.

He hit 4 HRs in 1986, 10 players had done that before him and 10 players have done it since then.

I watched that game ! So many memories from the Super Station; '85 Mets game on 4th of July that lasted forever, the Padres fight...., was an Astros fan but we did watch Braves while listening to the Astros on radio.

I'm not a Braves fan at all (Reds fan), but my father was going back to the Milwaukee days with Hank and Eddie Mathews.. I used to have to watch those arse Braves teams in the 80's every night. Murphy and Horner were the few highlights of those days. I vividly remember the four Homer game on a hot July Sunday afternoon. No matter how bad they were getting beat Daddy was watching. Loved him some Murphy and Horner. RIP Bob Horner and RIP Daddy.

He was also one of the few guys who bypassed the minors and went straight from the draft to MLB.

That is a shame, fond memories of Bob Horner, Dale Murphy, Phil Niekro, and all the other 80’s Braves playing on Ted Turner’s Superstation.

Those were fun times. The 1982 win streak to start the season. Will never forget the lineup with Murphy, Horner, Chambliss. Staying up late when they were out on the West coast. Skip Carry and Ernie Johnson were my favorite to listen to.

Man wtf is going on. How tragic.

I started playing an OOTP with the 76 braves. It’s 78 now and he has been a great service to my team. He came in to the league MLB ready from day 1.
