They've been using "Louisiana" long enough now that it would be embarrassing to the state's image to make them change. Most states have an X and X State, but, then again, most states aren't known for being full of third world petty stupids.

It would be a very bad look to pay a coach $100M. Then force a G5 program to change its athletic branding of the last 15 years because “they don’t represent the state”.

I'm an LSU fan so it doesn't make much difference to me either way. I'm just telling you that there are more people at this game than it appears on TV.
