Playoffs!!! No team should make the playoffs unless they are ranked no lower than 12th.

And that includes any conference champion. Minor conference champions have to prove that they are an elite team, not just conference champion in a weak conference. I actually hope Duke wins today to shine a light on this fiasco. If they win, a 5 loss team will make the playoffs. No way at all that that should happen ever.

Teams that don’t make it into the top ten don’t have a leg to stand on in my opinion. So anyone that is outside of the top ten whining about how good they are, needs to be quiet.
We don’t need more than 5 teams from the same conference in, period.

Putting emphasis on conference champions right at a time where 2/5 major conferences were raided was bad idea

if conferences were even I would want conference championship games to basically be the first round, but as it stands now a 12 team playoff should have at least 3 SEC and 3 BIG teams every year which makes the CCGs pretty damn pointless.

If you are going to do that then just have the big schools become the NFL minor league and let the other schools go back to how things used to be - play for a school, no transfer portal, no pay-for-play.

If you want to do that, eliminate the committee, delete the human polls from the BCS formula, and go strictly by the numbers.

Giving non power conferences a spot makes dozens of games through the season meaningful. AAC, MWC, Sunbelt all got more viewers because what happened would matter for a playoff. Not interested in locking non power teams out.

Yet still, no human on planet earth will know who the “best” 12 teams are. It is literally impossible. Too subjective. It should be the most “deserving” teams and the system should be designed to try to determine that. Still subjective, but less so.
