Knew I should have been more specific in 2013 when I prayed for a commitment from Chris Jones

Did we ever decode the dot placement? Is it returning vs new addition? Offense vs defense? He definitely has some on either side, some with both, and some with none.

We need our best cryptologists on it
Time to show the team some highlights from the 1993 sugar bowl. And 2009 cotton bowl

That would be massive. Put Beck under pressure and he has at least 2 turnovers

Carneiro probably made himself a couple hundred K last week
It is crystal clear Kiffin never believed in this team, and it is why I wanted him out of the building immediately. The feeling of knowing your leader doesn’t believe in you is just devastating for morale.
Back when the Lane saga started, LSU fans were roasting Ole Miss for not letting Lane keep coaching through the playoffs and saying they were totally fine with it on their end. But now they don’t even want position coaches focusing on the playoffs instead of the portal.

Can we all be adults and admit that LSU and Lane either assumed Ole Miss would lose the first round or planned to ditch Ole Miss halfway through giving them no shot of assembling a new staff?

There is just no way LSU fans would be fine with Kiffin being in Oxford instead of portal recruiting. And that is fine! I just want yall to admit the offer was never made in good faith.
Charlie is going to call a double move on one of those screen passes and the Miami DBs are going to bite hard. Going to come down to O Line protection.
South Carolina is a good comp. Last year they had Stewart and Kinnard on the edges but not much else. We have to get the ball out fast, make tacklers miss, and run up the middle to keep safeties honest.

Honestly, Sellers is probably better than Beck and we held him to 3 points. But that was with a stronger DLine. I think if Miami scores less than 24 we win.
In 12 wins, Beck has 25 TDs and 4 INT. In 2 losses, he has 2 TD and 6 INT. I think ole miss D is at least as good as SMU and Louisville.

I think it comes down to pressure. If Beck has to make decisions under pressure he will make mistakes. If not, he will pick us apart.
Anyone heard an update on Kam Franklin? Broadcast said he was in street clothes after his collision with Harris so I assume he is out, but that would be a big loss.
20/31
186 yds
0 TD
1 INT
5 sacks

Only TD all game was a 21 yd drive off an INT at the start of the game.

Should be a good one in Glendale.
I really want to know what happened between last year and this year. Was it just turnovers hurting his confidence? He was so quick and decisive last year and held the ball way too long this year.
Good coordinators are always going to be moving up. Just the cost of doing business.
The only people who use poverty mindset unironically are grindset bros running pyramid schemes on social media
He has always been held back by the assumption that it is really Lane’s offense. Hard to argue that after putting up 78 in 2 playoff games though.

I think he’ll get a G5 HC sooner rather than later especially if he has a good game plan for a top 5 Miami defense.

Can we talk about the onside kick?

Posted by Dixie.Reb on 1/2/26 at 12:19 pm
Now that we’ve had 12 hrs to celebrate, it’s time to talk about possibly the dumbest coaching frickup I have ever seen.

During the long review timeout, the sky cam broadcast showed Joe Judge (a former NFL special teams coach) consulting with the officials - presumably double checking all the contingencies around timing and advancing an onside kick.

Despite that, ole miss players just stood around instead of touching the kick before it went 10 yards. ANY TOUCHING OF THE BALL BY OLE MISS WOULD HAVE STARTED THE CLOCK AND ENDED THE GAME. you can’t advance an onside kick so there was literally 0% chance for UGA to score. Instead we had to sit through 30 seconds of laterals with a very low, but still non zero chance of success.

The end of the first half was bad, but that is on Wright for not going out of bounds. End of game was completely on the coaches. Hope Pete and Joe learn from it.
LSU fans made this same thread after the Tulane win. Conveniently forgetting that makes Lane Butch Davis and LSU the Cleveland Browns
Did you not watch his opening presser?
