Just looked it up: state is giving up 189 rush yards per game!! That is 17th worst in the nation. Even if you take out Hardy’s 300 yards that only moves them up 8 spots just behind Troy and Delaware.

The only teams they have held under 100 yards are Alcorn State, Arizona State, and Texas (lmao). 4 of the last 6 teams they face have rushed for 230+ and 3 have rushed for 299+

For once, CWJ run up the middle every time might just work
Y’all gotta snap out of the doom and gloom.

Yeah, lane is almost certainly leaving us for a rival, but what’s done is done. And guess what, state’s biggest weakness (rush defense) is our biggest strength. Unless you think Lacy is going to trip and fall, we could just run the ball 50 times and get a win.

Against OU and USC, Lacy had more yards than Ahmad Hardy. And Hardy went for 300 yards against MSU.

Lane sucks, but acting like an egg bowl win, 11 win season, and playoff berth are meaningless just because we have to hire a new coach makes 0 sense to me.

The portal doesn’t open until January so there is no reason to expect players to opt out of a playoff run. Don’t think anyone ever has. We are still a team with a chance to beat anyone on the right day.

Aight, I’ll get off the damn soapbox now

Yeah, everyone saying that this year shows our ceiling conveniently forgets we had a top 2 roster last year and it was ironically coaching that held us back.

Over the next 5 years, I’d say LSU/UF give him a slightly better chance at a natty. But they also give him a much higher chance of being fired in year 3 before he wins one.

Apparently his ole miss buyout has no offset language and automatically extends if he wins 7 games? That is essentially a lifetime contract given his coaching ability. Absolutely no chance LSU gives him that and even if they do he can’t trust them to honor it.

He is currently winning games with Jeff Sims. You might remember him from when he sucked at ga tech and Nebraska. That is at least as impressive as Kiffin winning with Blake Sims. Yeah he is way too young, but I think exciting offense is the way to stay relevant in the portal era.

Summrall has been my first thought, but I am coming around to making Dillingham tell us no. Especially if Golding wants to stay. He has already played MSU twice so he’s ready for the egg bowl
I said I’m sure it won’t make a difference. Try reading better.

I mean, it’s not like Lane has ever criticized fans for leaving before halftime of an OOC game
Sadly it was after halftime so all the fans had left and you could barely hear it on TV. Wouldn’t have even known what they were saying if Jordan Rodgers hadn’t mentioned it.

Anyways, I’m sure that won’t affect his decision.

Y’all know that Sexton is Saban’s agent too, right? Anything he says publicly is because jimmy wants him to say it.

Meanwhile LSU hasn’t hit 25 points in a single game against an FBS opponent this year

Thursday and Friday were obviously no fun, but assuming there really is no announcement this week I am enjoying LSU fans getting more and more nervous lol.

Also, Saban’s agent is Jimmy Sexton too! He is going to say whatever Jimmy wants him to on TV. LSU fans convinced he truly believes LSU is the best option when he is just playing his part in the negotiation

Kiffin will turn those into td's for us

So you haven’t watched our red zone offense for the last 4 years I gues

There is only a 0.01% chance of this happening, but if tonight’s shite show leads Kiffin to demanding more NIL and LSU balking I will laugh my head off.

At this point, $30 mil in NIL might not be enough to rebuild a roster that is losing to WKU.

$4 mil for a QB, $5 mil for O Line. $10 mil for RB/WR. And you haven’t even gotten to defense.
Win over OU is better than anything vandy has though. UT almost as good but that’s it.

Also, surely the committee can watch the games and know the UT game was not a typical 3 point game lol
If losing Lane is enough to knock ole miss out of the playoffs, shouldn’t getting him be enough to get LSU in? Gotta throw that Loss to WKU out because lane wasn’t there
Depends how bad Bama loses in Atlanta. Unless they lose close, ou is in based on head to head and ole miss has head to head over ou. Vandy on the outside looking in

Both fit with his pattern of taking over distressed properties. Honestly LSU might be in worse shape than Matt Luke Ole Miss or even FAU

Very tempted to start a thread about Lane loving a fixer upper and comparing LSU to FAU and Matt Luke Ole Miss but I’m not trying to catch a ban
12 team playoff is way different.

Also, the reason given for FSU was that they had a game without Travis and looked awful. Ole Miss won’t have a game without Kiffin for the committee to make that claim.
