Was watching that one live. NBA sucked less then, too.

I looked as much as I could and failed to find a punch thrown...was it all just pushing and tackling?

Exactly. As far as fights go it was pretty pathetic. The pitcher and batter didn’t even get involved.

The only ones ready to go were the fans when that dumbass from the Padres acted like he was going into the crowd. But for the Braves players protecting him he would have gotten his arse kicked by someone’s 42 year old dad in yellow slacks

The Braves TBS days were the best. This is the only brawl I’ve ever seen where both the pitcher & the hitter left the action completely after the brawl started

Agreed. I was a kid with nothing to watch on television but the Braves were always on. Loved Pascual Perez. Heard some names in that clip I haven't heard in a long time. Bob Horner, Gerald Perry. Good times.

I like the fact that it was just treated as competitive guys blowing off steam and not made into more than that.

Everyone just got up, brushed themselves off, finished the game, and nobody much cared the next day.

This was 2019 and Garrett is showing more balls than I saw in that entire scrum.

When he was playing with the Angels during Chuck Finley's rookie year, I got Sutton to sign the sheet where I kept his pitching line from win number 301. Reggie Jackson was there to. He told me he'd have to charge me for an autograph.

Gene Ponti knew I was working the Rangers games. He called me for the Ouachita Citizen to interview Chuck for an article after his 1st game after being called up to the Angels from their Quad Cities Iowa team. Sutton just happened to pitch that game. I talked with him after finishing up with Chuck and got the autograph.
