Refs were absolute dog shite tonight. Like NBA level bad. Missed multiple too many men on the ice. Missed an obvious goalie interference on Buffalo. Blew the whistle early on what should've been the game winning goal in the 3rd period. shite, they even had both teams barking at them to just drop the puck during faceoffs.
Just an overall shitty game and shitty way to send a team home and have another advance. Neither team deserved to have to play through that bullshite.

Nailed it. Just spent the last 5 minutes breaking that sequence down to my 9 year old. First thing he said was "that D has to get that puck deep".
Yeah, when you fake on the shot on the wing doesn't bite you have to use the boards and get that puck deep.
His second option was to give up the zone and pass it back to his D partner that had vacated to cover him.
He chose option 3, dumping the problem on the center in the middle who was covered by the Habs center, who instantly collapsed on him and caused the blue line turnover there.
Freaking horrible sequence and I called out "they're screwed" right when it happened.

I said “oh frick” when that turnover happened because it was so bad. Then said “oh shite” when the shot went right past the goalie’s glove because he was so bad there.

gave them the goal that won game 4 with the got damn fluke zamboni door goal.
