That doesnt matter though. What matters is they dropped after a blowout loss while Bama did not.

You can't drop one team for a blowout loss in a title game while pretend it's fine another team got their asses kicked just as hard and keep them in their same spot. It makes zero sense.

Even more basic than that. They reward Indiana for winning. Drop Ohio State.

Bama gets destroyed and moves up

The SEC is undefeated in hypothetical matchups

They didn’t want to render conference title games meaningless. Which they should have

They absolutely are now, with these dumbass mega conferences, how often are you actually going to get the two best teams in the SECCG?

It’s all about who got the easiest schedule and who wins some dumbass tiebreakers

In a non clown world, that wouldn’t matter. Alabama simply didn’t do enough to warrant a spot.

Meh. I think Notre Dame should be in over Bama. I just don't agree that BYU has a legit argument.

I guarantee if Tulane and JMU were not in it the last 2 teams in would be ND and Texas. They would have pushed BYU back more.

BYU had close wins over Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. They were the beneficiary of bad calls in the latter two. They weren’t as good as their record led people to believe they were.

That's all it is. That performance yesterday is in no way worthy of a playoff team.

BYU was what, 11?

Tulane and James Madison got in over them because of auto qualifiers

BYU was never in the playoff. Virginia would have been in had they won

Correct

This is an issue with auto qualifiers from shite conferences, not a Bama issue

What?

What the frick is the point of a title determining system if not to put in the teams most likely to win playoff games?

The fact that this is a major part of the decision making on who gets to make the playoffs is fricking retarded.
College football is as stupid as deciding championship qualifiers as synchronize swimming, high diving and rhythmic gymnastics.

Neither. OU will beat Bama 3-0 in the worst offensive game ever played.

The team with the 4th best odds to win the title is sitting at home. This system isn’t to determine the 12 best teams, it’s to make sure the Mouse’s teams get more money.

Because it shouldn’t matter who the “best” teams are and rather what you actually did on the field. Please explain to me how Alabama did enough to warrant a spot in the playoffs?

100%. The biggest failure of the day was not the committee, but ESPN not challenging the chairman when he said they took BYU's performance yesterday into account, but ignored Alabama's performance yesterday.

It's an incredible and transparent lack of ideological inconsistency that should make everyone uncomfortable with the process.
