185 passing yards was the average across all games yesterday. Baker Mayfield and Derek Carr were the best QBs and only two (Tua and Stafford) threw for over 300.

probably has more to do with the DLine guys are literal freak of natures and have about 1 second to process information and decide on where to throw before their head gets taken off.

Offensive lines have massively digressed, and I would also argue we are pretty late into the McVay/Shanahan era and are due for another large offensive shake-up for the lower to intermediate offensive teams.

It would help if WRs would practice these days.

I thought it was fine. Defensive coordinators and players are just incredible nowadays.

Exactly. There were a few QBs that took an absolute beating yesterday.

This right here. With what these dudes get paid now they should be practicing every single day and half of them should be two a days. Lazy asses

The defenses have gotten even better. The league also seems to be divided over pass-first and rush-first QBs.

imagine what it would be like if the NFL didn't protect QB's

Why are you excluding Thursday and Friday games?

It’s nothing to do with “lazy” or even being“entitled” but fear of injury particularly concussions post all the lawsuits and publicity over concussions and CTE

Or it’s just the weekly MSB overreaction based on one week of football

Yeah for the past few years its a big trend that Os are doing worse at the beginning of the season and getting better as the year goes on

You also have (3) QB's with 100 yards rushing and another (7) with +50yds, (3) with 40+.

I feel like this was not happening in the past.

Vic Fangio type defense has stopped a lot of the offenses I think. Thought I saw a article about it a year or two ago

Most fans are really myopic and think they have a terrible OL but in reality pretty much every team has a terrible OL lol

I heard a crazy stat today, and I am trying to verify it.

Since signing his new contract before last season, Daniel Jones has had more pick-6s than TD passes.

I think the regression of QB play is three fold.

They are being forced to play earlier not learning to be a professional.
The systems in CFB are so easy that the rocket scientist DC in the NFL is just confusing the hell out of them.

Fans think they know more about the game than they do and think they know the keys and reads, can "watch the film," and there are stats from fantasy games that drive us.
