It is $5.99/month,

It's also a game that up until tomorrow you would have received within your general cable package. They started with Amazon Prime on Thursdays, then nickel and dime $5.99 for Saturdays game, what's next? This won't stop here. It's likely going to keep getting worse and worse. Slippery slope.

No team does this as well as The LSU Tigers. We do that sh*t in our sleep.

Not if you lived in the local market

Ok. How many watching on Saturday don’t live in the local market.. so the comparison works for them whether it be on the old NFL network or Peacock.

It is $5.99/month, you can't get a beer for that much at some bars and it is a very solid platform but I think it is still very stupid to put it on just Peacock.

I live incredibly comfortably on a six figure salary, but NBC and the NFL can SMD if they expect me to pay to watch a playoff game that doesn't involve my team.

You are crazy, I live there the Jets and Giants (especially the Giants though I am a Jets fan) are hugely popular in New York and in the NY suburbs. You cannot walk into a pub without the game being on.

If it’s just this one game then sell me the one game ppv and let’s leave monthly subscriptions out of it

You realize you can cancel your 5.99 a month subscription at any time, right?

I’ve had peacock for a couple years now and it’s great. I also have Netflix and prime video.. it’s not that big a deal.

What a gentleman.

quote:

Dismayed that Chiefs fans who don’t have Peacock subscriptions potentially won’t be able to see Saturday’s playoff against the Dolphins, defensive end Charles Omenihu is looking to do something about it.

“Alright Chiefs Kingdom, I saw the comments and want y’all to be able to watch us play…So, I’m giving away 90 3-month Peacock memberships! To enter to win, reply to this tweet with why you should get picked. Picking winners Friday!” Omenihu wrote on X Tuesday night.

The offer came two days after the defensive end expressed shock over Saturday’s game only being aired on Peacock, limiting those who can watch it to people who have the service.

What is it, $15? That’s a few beers at your neighborhood pub. Who cares?

Then it'll be two games, then it'll be every game.

See now?

Then what would you watch?

Plenty of things to do in life other than watching a football game on tv.

I love football, but I wonder how long fans are going to put up with the bullshite that's coming. It's just getting started.

All this football stuff... it's gonna get worse. They will try to get every cent they can out of you.

Yeah, it's not the money... It's the "we can get more money out of our fans" attitude.

Are yall serious?

The amount of bitching on here would make it seem like the NFL and CFB were watched by minimal/no fans.

But, we all know that isn’t true since everyone on this board tunes in, no matter how much they “hate” it.

Y'all are all just like heroin addicts. You couldn’t kick the “habit”, no matter how hard you tried.

And the NFL and CFB are not going anywhere because y’all can’t stop supporting it.

It’s comical at this point.

Peacock is dirt cheap and the game will last longer than a $75 80s Mike Tyson fight... Meaning more than a minute.

But...

I'm frankly on board with disenfranchising the public.

The NFL product is tuned into by the public out of simple mindless rabbit ears habit and giving the NFL an inflated importance for frankly a current horrible product with no contact and WWE officiating. Maybe we can move on?

You're also exactly the half-brained eternally-loyal customer they've come to rely on to carry their baggage for them.

If ppl really wanted to make a state meet to the nfl they’d boycott all the games but they are not and probably won’t even boycott this one so the nfl will keep them under there thumb
