The windchill is expected to be -30 degrees at Arrowhead Stadium Saturday night.

If the expected windchill holds, only 2 other games in NFL history would have had a colder windchill

Been seeing a lot of pushback on this on the interweb. We’ll see if it’s all talk or not.

Can tell ya I'll be sailing the seas to watch it. I already pay for Netflix, Prime, Max, Disney+, and cruncyroll. I'm looking to cut 2 or 3 of those (don't think family will allow it), not add to my monthly bills.

Heck I subscribed to Peacock a few weeks ago to watch that random regular season game.

I'd pay $50 to watch a playoff game if that's what it cost.

Guy went full Monty on ESPN in there as well. Excellent article of recognizing hypocrisy.

I hate that kind of writing, where the author goes on a long-winded rant about everything and anything under the sun, trying to sound pithy and edgy.

Eurocat “loves” him, though. That cracks me up. Probably a huge Deadspin fan, as they dish out this type of article daily.

We all know the NFL and it's players don't make much money.

They need more money.

I'd be fine if the entire football industry collapsed tomorrow. College and Pro.

What is it, $15? That’s a few beers at your neighborhood pub. Who cares?

The only part that bothers me is paying a premium to watch a game and still being force-fed advertisements. I thought the idea was to pay directly for the product you want without the cost being subsidized by advertisers.

It is $5.99/month, you can't get a beer for that much at some bars and it is a very solid platform but I think it is still very stupid to put it on just Peacock.

I literally considered what I posted and thought “I pay for cable and it has commercials. Now I pay for Prime games and they have commercials. So what’s the difference.” You’re exactly right.

you can type 6 words into google and find about 100 sites where you can watch the game.

Peacock is our main streaming platform, so I got lucky.

I love watching professional sports being played in terrible conditions.

Here’s my thing. What is the NFL’s long term plan for Peacock? Nobody wants to get a monthly subscription to anything just for one 3 hour event. What are they going to broadcast there regularly that justifies me being a monthly subscriber to an otherwise unrelated platform?

Amazon Prime has the Thursday games. No problem. So what is Peacock going to have? If it’s just this one game then sell me the one game ppv and let’s leave monthly subscriptions out of it. They don’t owe me free football but they do owe me a logical viewership plan assuming they want me to be a patron.
