This is a terribly silly idea and I look forward for it's demise

Well frick that from every side. I hope that even the most rabid Bulldog fans get vocal as frick against this.
Hard working people get taxed thousands on their income while an 18 year old shithead driving a Lambo making millions of dollars doesn't pay a cent because some a-hole politician is a big fan.

I fully expect one proposed in the upcoming Louisiana Legislative session.

So more help for the student-athletes who are likely on scholarship, getting medical benefits, and getting NIL which in some sports can be 6 or 7 figures a year, but still screw those students waiting tables and also likely going in debt to put themselves through college.

Makes you think what they'd pass for high net worth and corps that pay them.

I love college football a whole hell of a lot. But they can kiss my arse if they think I would ever vote for that.

Day is a really good coach
Debatable. Zero head coach experience at a place where he wasn't born on third base. No nattys until he had the absolute best roster in college football (no one was really close) and Chip Kelly.
Couldn't beat Harbaugh. Hasn't beaten Sherrone Moore despite having the best roster in football and Chip Kelly.

Pretty sure this would not hold up on appeal. There are already states like TX and FL and TN who have no state income tax. No sure what kind of advantage GA would have as you can only sign so many players per year

Why? The legislature has the authority to do this. It's stupid, but legal.

Why wouldn't it? As misguided as the legislation is, if it's passed in the Legislature legally and constitutionally, there's no way this goes to court.

Maybe Kirby got the old Ouachita Parish DA, that let the two Bama Football players go after they were caught with weed & a stolen pistol, to move to Georgia and put this bill forward.
Began his bill intro speech with "I refuse to take money from young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning,” ."
