NCAA banning schools from decorating hotel rooms on official visits

Some of these rules, like the photoshoot one for unofficial visits, are made because they are petitioned for by the schools themselves. The arms races has gotten out of control, and the time demands of the support staff are wayyyyy out of control.
So they ask the NCAA to be the bad guy and ban the things that are time and labor intensive so they don't work the support staff to death.
On the surface, it's a trivial thing to ban. Realistically, it probably helps the schools quite a bit to stop worrying about doing some of this dumb shite.
