And one day later no one is talking about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. See what happens when you step in Jerry Jones limelight.

People in here trying to argue this is a Herschel Walker situation.
I'm over here looking at this as a Reggie White situation.
Only time will tell who is right.

Parsons will not be worth that contract.
You guys say this every time.
Then two years passes and that contract isn't look that bad.
The best part about Jerry Jones is he could have had Micah for much cheaper if he signed him earlier but instead he played games, waited things out per his usual until the price became huge.
See Dak.

He's WAY too easy to take out of games and disappears in the big ones. You can't be a non-factor in 4 career playoff games and credibly argue for top coin. For GB to agree to that contract and cough up 2 firsts reeks of desperation. And the cherry on top is he's a soft, whiny bitch
Jerruh won, for once
Nothing there I can disagree with. Just wait until he finds out how cold it is in GB.

During his four years in Dallas, the Cowboys defense ranked first in the league in Expected Points per Play when Micah was on the field. First.
Doesn’t matter, that “Micah” was never suiting up ever again for the Cowboys. Someone’s feelings got hurt between Jerry and Micah and this was the answer. Cowboys had to get some value out of the deal.

what a ridiculous move by green bay. i don't get it.
Man, I think it’s a slam dunk.
Packers are capable of a top 3-5 offense in the league if it breaks right and Love takes a step.
Parsons will now give them a top 10, but possibly top 7 def.
Parsons entering his prime. Parsons is the best defender in that entire division now.
Big move for the Packers.
Cowboys are now Super Bowl irrelevant for a solid 5 years.
Dak owns the cap, they have a 3-5 year window left with him.
By the time they make up for a Parsons type player on defense, Dak’s window will be closed.

Parsons was going to take up roughly 17% of the cap on his own.
This was a good move by Dallas

Cap is a fugazi and APY is a inaccurate way to try to measure cap impact during the contract If parsons was still producing at a high level that contract would not stop them from being able to sign anybody. Only time it does is when a player drastically underperforms or gets injured and the roster isn’t worth betting on anymore.

down and wear out towards the end of each season. He either wasn’t on the field at key moments, or wasn’t as effective as the season wore on, especially in critical late in the season, including playoff games.
This. He has immense talent, but he’s extremely inconsistent and the effort isn’t always there. If you give him 120 mil guaranteed… how much effort are you going to get? This will not be a great move for the Packers.

Jerry overpaid for.Dak, Zeke, and others prior to contract expiration. Has.that worked? Too many spoiled & overpaid athletes.

They had him on a cheaper deal for several years and still didn’t sniff the Super Bowl. I don’t blame Jerry for not wanting to pay him.
And the Packers fans are excited because of the Reggie White and Charles Woodson comparisons…they’re leaving out the fact that they had top 15 all-time quarterbacks when they won it all.

I’m a millennial, I just got it twisted with the AL central which is basically the same geographic footprint playing a different sport.
I spend 90% of my “sports” focus on college sports so maybe I should just stick with that haha.

Packers think they are good enough to win the super bowl before they have to pay other important players but they aren't.
I'm thinking that Love has two years to convince everyone he's going to be the guy going forward after this contract, otherwise we'll have no choice but to draft his replacement. In my opinion he's entirely average, and we cannot afford two mega contracts without sacrificing quality everywhere else.
