He told a player that had just lost his brother in a shooting that he wished it was him that had been shot instead. All because he was, understandably, practicing poorly.

He deserved to be fired for that shite

Oh, bullshite. Rogers Hornsby was my manager and he called me a talking pile of pig shite. And that's when my parents had driven all the way from Michigan to watch me play.

His players hated him. Knew a guy who used to play for him. He said they all wanted him to get a heart attack he was so insufferable.

No joke Mark Mangino was so fat that at Kansas, whenever he would take a shite, he couldn’t reach to wipe his own arse. So he’d get a towel and floss it between his arse cheeks and when he was done he’d just leave it on the ground for an intern to deal with.

I did have an MMA coach with a black belt in BJJ and we were doing some type of kick. Just drilling a a kick, I’m gassed. It’s new to me. and he went over to his favorites(small gym and mentioned something like I guess they’re just stupid). He lost me. You called your revenue source and those who look up to you dumbasses and then expect me to ever trust you want you in my corner? I mean BJJ when I say that. I’m not good at any of it, but talk about a confidence killer and seeing someone hold an important position and talk shite bc your own students. I left, joined another gym and realized their white belts were better than his blue belts. Then I later saw him get tapped on ufc.com by a purple belt.

A local radio show in Wichita interviews him a few times a year to talk football. Seems to be alive and well.

I’m not sure where Mark is these days. But his son Tommy is OC at Lake Travis High School.

Go take a look at K State over the 60s-80's, the worst football program PERIOD ! What Bill Snyder did with them, not once but twice, is unbelievable. I would say that title goes to Snyder. Although I agree Mangino pulled off a miracle with that shite program at Kansas.

Either that and be championship-caliber or enjoy going 1-11 every year and treated like a princess.
