re: Little League Baseball!!!

Looks like three leagues jointly filed a protest after another one was denied 5 days ago. This Ou team is same organization that softball was thrown out of their regionals.

The guy who follows LL very closely said this morning he thinks it’s a coin flip right now what they will do to OU team.

I’d guess. But also not sure if they move it to Tuesday. They have until game time to decide. If they Dq after today then the winner today would advance. 4 protest is a lot tho.

My understanding is if they do check on it, they will check on every team there. I’d bet most leagues do what they do but “legally”.

I mean that’s the rules… think of Little League with their districts as nonselect ball and travel ball as everyone trying to be John Curtis

The rules are each kid must live within the district. If not then the player needs an affidavit from multiple organizations and people to be allowed to play in their nearest district to them. Next thing to look at is the league. Each player must play 8 regular season games. The games must be of certain time length. How you get to 8 games doesn’t matter so you can have double headers to get through them quick. Thats how you get the travel ball kids to play. Almost every league runs it the same to allow that. Some though have the same kids playing on the same travel team, that’s skating gray area.

Reading between the lines and at the accusations,it would appear they are being accused of using a Challenger division (special needs baseball/softball) player(s) to get players on the team eligible to play on their team. The problem is they apparently did not do any Challenger program activities. They also are accused of pitching kids multiple times in the same day, and using games that did not conclude to use for qualification. They also are trying to use gamechanger data to prove they did not do these things, but other leagues have receipts showing that they are actively changing the data in gamechanger since learning about the accusations.

If true, especially the part of abusing the challenger division, they need to ban that league and not allow any of their league officials to serve in any capacity within any programs. I've worked with the Challenger division and other like divisions for several years now, and anyone who would abuses those programs needs to be called out by name and banned from youth sports.
