If you think the Ascension team isn’t chock-full of travel ball players, you’re sadly mistaken.

One game Championship no matter who is undefeated.

This is dumb af but I assume it’s because of the pitch limit rules for little league.

Dixie Youth was long ago. It’s called Diamond now. Guess they had to take Dixie out the name. Still DYB! Little League and s way more competitive.

There are some really bad Little League districts, literally rec ball. Once you get to regionals, it’s all high level travel kids playing. Same with DYB.

I thought south Louisiana kids play Dixie Youth?

Jefferson Parish still plays Diamond Youth. Unfortunately, Eastbank has taken some of the talent out of that system, and I'm sure the same has happened around the country. Both the Pontiff 10U and Cleary 12U teams held onto pretty much all of their kids this season. Pontiff finished 3rd in the World Series and Cleary was runner up. Both only lost 2 games from district through the the World Series, and all 4 losses were to South Carolina.

Kinley Rasmus on for Alabama

The Rasmus family runs baseball in east Alabama. If they come out of the southeast regional, she’ll be a big story in Williamsport.

The Oklahoma pitcher looks bigger and older than most of the other kids.

LA can't run with the big boys. AL looks strong. This OK team looks good too.

Am I understanding it correctly that Oklahoma basically received a bye for the first game? Considering pitch usage that is an insane advantage.

Yes that’s a jacked up situation with odd number of teams allowed in

This isn’t anything new. My son is 25 now. When he was 12 there was a 12 major out of LKC that made the LLWS. For the most part it was the exact same team that we played against in tournament ball. They played LL during week and tournament ball on weekend.

Casey Rasmus has trained those kids and his brother is assisting.

Tony Rasmus won the US title in 1999 and Colby and Cory made it to the majors.

Phenix City had been terrible for years but Casey and Cory have built them back up with the help of their kids.

The Tulsa National Little League team is just one win from Williamsport for the 1st time since 1988, after def Louisiana 3-2! Kai Turley, whose mom @MaceyTurley played on @OU_Softball 2000 title team, was a dawg on the mound..The 13 boys hail from Tulsa, Bixby, Glenpool and Jenks

Tulsa National Little League is facing another tournament controversy.

Just weeks after its softball team was removed from the Southwest Region Tournament, three leagues have filed a joint protest involving Tulsa National’s baseball program.
