Why should a kid be banned from playing rec ball just because they play travel ball?
Because once you reach a level, you are hands down better than the others. It’s night and day the AAA Majors compared to regular Rec All Stars.

so stupid....so ban the good kids from LL completely?
already have hard enough time getting any of them to come back but now ban them for being too good?
frick off.
not everyone deserves a trophy

Ban the “great kids” yes. Those kids are playing 52 weeks out the year almost. Rec plays 2 months.
Just to give you an idea, the 10u all star team last year with 2 AA travel ball kids went to state and got smoked. This year 11 AAA+ kids dropped to the league. 1 rec kid made it along with those 11. Only 1 kid from 10u All Stars the year before made it. And the difference was unreal. That team made the World Series. All leagues do it. But what about those fringe rec kids? That’s who is hurting.

Nobody is tuning in to watch a rec ball walk fest and endless errors.
It sucks that Little League forces near teenagers to play by 9 year old rules but that’s where the coverage is and talent wants to be covered.

Before Travel ball ruled the world, the high level kids all played rec ball, we’re talking till the late 90s. There was a separation for a brief period but once ESPN started covering Little League heavily to where you could get on tv even in regionals, all of the travel kids came back. And who can blame them? The average person isn’t watching the Perfect Game Super NIT on youtube. Would this thread exist if it wasn’t for a local team advancing to Williamsport with the help of travel ball kids?

Most of them don't, but they ones that do want to do it because it gives them a chance to play with their buddies from school or from their neighborhood.

dude i know but here is the deal and it answers the question on why they want to play
1) to play with friends one last time
2) to make a run at the LLWS
despite all the good tournaments out there, williamsport is still the best, despite all the BS rules and BS LL stuff.
You sound like a Karen though...."those kids shouldnt be allowed to play, they are too good and take it too serious"
there is already a movement by dumbass karens trying to get travel kids banned from playing HS Baseball, now you want to do the same for LL.....well thats a good way to kill LL and every kid in the LLWS is pretty much a travel kid and you can pretty much kiss the US ever winning another World championship again if you did that.

Damn you mad bro.
no im not mad...i just think this whole thing by parents is stupid AF
first it was how dare the travel kids leave the Rec kids and not play locally....who the frick do they think they are and its the parents living through the kids
now its....how dare those travel kids play rec ball too and how dare they play HS ball....makes it too hard for my little johnny to make the team, that shouldnt be allowed, its an unfair advantage
its just a dumbass take. nobody is mad, just calling you out for having a stupid take on something which just happens to be very Karenish
now I think LL is a huge waste of time, the play is terrible and a lot of other things, but if a kid wants to play both...he should be able to .
banning travel kids would really destroy LL.

Who exactly is pushing this?
Usually it’s the opposite… pushing kids to focus on showcase ball instead of HS

Somewhat. Coaches are really focused on showcases these days more so than they are tournaments. Our local high school just hosted a big one and only a handful of kids that were chosen for JV from 8th grade played travel ball. Their parents prioritized individual training sessions and the occasional tournament. Less than three a year.
