You sure that was 68 I think that was another lineman . Because they said 68 was the one already on the line of scrimmage at that time

100% was #68. They just showed the replay on the postgame. Also showed another view of Goff sending #68 over to the official.

What was Troy saying in the game about him being uncovered or whatever? Why would that ever matter? I’m sure there’s a rule here I’m missing somewhere

So 68 clearly walked up and said something to the head ref before the 2 point play. He was then flagged for not reporting as eligible.

This is one of the worst ones I can remember. Head official just flat out stole a win from the Lions by not paying attention.

68 was just shy and didn't want to talk over Big Dan Skipper. Didn't report...

Well doesn’t Dallas get an alert if he reports as eligible?

So it’s possible they never allow him so open if they make an announcement that he’s eligible.

Why wouldn't you kick the extra point from the 8?

I thought he was trying to point out that he was covered which would make him ineligible since only the players at the end of the line of scrimmage are eligible. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

I think troy just has it wrong bc it is an unusaul play. 68 reports and becomes the TE. 70 comes in and is now the 5th OL. It is an unbalanced line but i dont think it matters if 68 reports as eligible.

Exactly right. #68 was an inline TE on that play. He was eligible, and was not covered up.

Officials fricked up big time.

Well they may have called the wrong penalty but they could have called him ineligible anyway because the wr wasn’t off the line. They could have called 3 fouls but picked the one that may get them in deep shite lol
