On the Posted Up podcast with Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Julius Erving declined to include LeBron James among his top two all-time NBA teams.

"He's the guy who has led the charge in terms of superteams being put together, when he put them together in Miami. He put together a team in Cleveland as well, and put together a team in Los Angeles. He can put together his own team -- I ain't gonna pick his team," Erving said on the podcast.

Erving listed on his first team: Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain. On the second team was Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Why do these old guys all seem to overvalue the 60s? Yes. Guys who played in the last 10 years belong on the all-time lists. Deal with it.

He’s clearly biased towards his playing days.

My first memories watching the NBA were the Sixers destroying the Lakers in the Finals. Moses Malone was the best player in the league and DR. J was his sidekick.

DR. J is going to have a way different perspective than anyone else. I'd expect a funky list.

A lot of people would be cancelled logically.

Was the Cavs team he won a NBA title with a Super team?

Were the Lakers really a super team???? Miami Heat, ok, i can buy it, but really that Cavs roster was a super team?

Wilt Chamberlain would dominate any era, IMO.

However, many do believe like you and think there are several Wilt's in today's game that would dominate the 60's.

So IDK if you have a point or not.

Can you really trust someone’s opinion on sports when they have MJ on the 2nd team?

I think MJ and Magic are 1-2 all time..... so that makes his list useless.

So what you’re saying is Julius Erving doesn’t know jack shite about evaluating players.

I think I am betting on the second team in this mythical matchup.

This always sounds good... but it’s false... hell Dr. J himself would be average now... Wilt a great for his time.., game played on too many different levels
