2. The stats also show over all PER way down in the 80’s compared to today (evident by the list in the OP as well)

I don’t know squat about PER, but Wikipedia says the league average PER for the league is 15 each season. How is overall PER low for the 80s?

PER has Blake Griffin at #56 all-time and Elvin Hayes at #184.

African American I beg of you.

MJ was never statistically the GOAT. Wilt was and still is.

The modern NBA is a soap opera based on sports. No defense, manufactured drama. Load management.

Embiid 28.5

Is that his average of games played per season?

Did he go to Washington? Then your point is moot.

Let’s see how Embiid’s career progresses.

Except it's not. Comparing players who played later in their career and using PER for players who have only played up to their peaks and not recognizing that is silly.

Give me a year when Jordan's PER was around 36. I'll wait.

Now do WS/48.

WS/48 - MJ has 6 of the best seasons between the 2

BPM - MJ has 9 of the 10 highest of the 2

VORP - MJ has 11 seasons with a higher VORP than Embiid's best

He’s basing his PER claim off of a 32 game sample against other players career PER. It’s just silly

Again. The Deadball Era almost literally killed the NBA due to lack of fan interest.

????

MJ’s second three peat was the height of the so-called “Dead ball era”

He’s talking about early 2000s which has nothing to do with the MJ era. He’s trying to be slick and include that period with the 90s. He doesn’t actually know anything past 5 years ago so he invents storylines about past eras that are totally false.

Dead ball era in the NBA lasted from the 1994 Rockets/Knicks finals until Steve Nash joined the Suns in 2004

His comment was that the “dead ball era nearly killed the NBA”. So from 94-99, with MJ the NBA had record viewership at around triple what it gets now. Then post Jordan it dropped by over half the viewers, still higher than current day btw. Those are different eras in the context he’s using.

Dude. What kind of gonja are you smoking? You do realize you can’t touch players today where Jordan and the likes got the crap beat of them. There were 2 players that had specific defenses named after them. The “Jordan” rules and Hack a “Shaq”. Both of which was basically beating the crap out of them. If you couldn’t touch Jordan or Shaq the average points for both would be much much higher. But you keep living in your make believe world.
