Is the Deion Sanders allure and hype officially over?

I’ll give him credit, he tried something different, undertook a big challenge, and generated a lot of hype and interest in a program on life support. I think most were skeptical, but hey, he tried.
He got them to a 9-4 record in 2024 only to revert back to 3-9. The talk and any hype around them is virtually nonexistent in 2026, and most don’t expect them to be any good. In fact, they’re supposed to be putrid.
I know he’s had his health issues, but is it safe to say this is likely it for him?

They are starting the season here against Georgia Tech as about a touchdown underdog. They are playing in the normal stadium, so it must not be selling that well. When ND came here they moved it to Mercedes Benz.
It's on a Thursday night, so I'm sure it'll be broadcasted. To be fair, the Vols come the next week, and they are also playing in Bobby Dodd. So maybe it was just an Irish deal to move it to the bigger stadium..

He took the only D1 job that wanted him so he could try to his son drafted in the 1st round.

I still like Deion and still believe in what he's trying to do It was an uphill challenge to be sure
But he tries to instill discipline in players. He talks about the importance of faith and family in doing right. We need more of that in college football. Yeah, it's different. It's not like the old coaches that we grew up with, but none of us are going to be playing college football anytime in the near future
And if Deion is getting kids who want to play college football and want to play for him, I think that's the best that Colorado is going to do. He needs to keep surrounding himself with coaching talent , coordinators

I thought they would come up with some sort of settlement so both Colorado and Deion could save face, and the health problems gave them the perfect out.
That may still be on the table, if this season goes as poorly as I think it will.
