Look at Indiana's schedule. It's possibly worse

I'll raise you Penn State's schedule:

quote:

Marshall
@ Temple
Buffalo
Wisconsin
@ Northwestern
#14 USC
@ #16 Michigan
Purdue
@ #17 Washington
Minnesota
Rutgers
@ Maryland

Although, Indiana's isn't much tougher:

quote:

North Texas
Howard
Western Kentucky
Northwestern
@ Rutgers
@ Nebraska
#1 Ohio State
@ #16 Michigan
Minnesota
#14 USC
@ #17 Washington
Purdue

Notre Dame can probably only afford one loss with that schedule and have a shot at the playoff, even if they beat Miami.

BYU or SMU better be 12-0 for them to get in with 2 losses

Does this annual ND scheduling cakewalk actually surprise anyone?

ND has always played the game of "whatever it takes to make it to a good bowl game" now there is more money on the line, why would they change?

If things stand as they are with the schedule, ND almost certainly should not get in with two losses. I guess either BYU or SMU going 12-0 would be a slight notch up from "things standing as they are" though, but still. Maybe if SMU plays Miami in the ACCCG and BYU wins the Big 12, 10-2 would be justifiable to get in, but hard to see that happening.

A friend of mine that’s a math professor at UW-Madison says they’re going to beat ND.

He’s been divorced 4 times but accurately predicted the last four national champions using the same formula.

Do with this information as you will

Realistically who can they play? Nobody in the Power 4 want to schedule tough out of conference games anymore.

The issue isn’t ND. It’s other teams not wanting to risk a loss by playing them out of their conference

Sure you have a good schedule but if you lose to Clemson... it will be the end of the world again like 2020-2024 and the Lane honeymoon will be over. ND fans will enjoy season til probably January. Don't hate the player, hate the game...

Has there been any talk about Jaylon Domingeaux during camp? He was very good at SLU with mid-QB play throwing him the ball and terrible play calling. Sucks his intro for Wisconsin is going to be against ND's secondary.

Would be so great if my Badgers ruined their season at Lambeau right out of the gate. But not holding may breath.
