Serious answer: Daniel Carlson. Kicker’s not a physically demanding position at all. It’s all mental and Carlson was an outstanding kicker from day one at Auburn.

Takeo Spikes was an absolute manchild as a true freshman and was the top defensive recruit in the country. He had a mean streak too. There were stories about him threatening and intimidating upperclassmen from day one.

Because a guy like Perkins could be a rush specialist right now in the NFL. He has of course gotten better in his short time at LSU but he is physically talented enough to be in the league today.

I think there is probably 1–2 guys each recruiting cycle that blow up as freshman and could make a case.

I’m as big of a Homer as it gets but just no lol

An 18 year old kid cannot be on the same field as NFL players

Honey Badger was as good his FR year as his last year. He saw limited action because of current DB talent and he was a 3* unknown commodity in his 1st year.

I would lean towards Amobi Okoye, considering he was drafted at 19 years old. He was drafted by the Houston Texans after playing football at Louisville, in the first round.

And done what? Just made the roster? Starter? Pro Bowler? All-Pro?

There’s no doubt some true freshmen could have at least been contributors.

LSU's left tackle is a man. He could play pro ball and he's 18

He will be fine in 3 years but right now, he would be destroyed, broken and abused in the NFL…..again, in 3 years, he has the potential to be a round 1 pick.

He did pretty well against the first overall pick in the draft next yr, as well as a bunch of NFL quality defensive lineman.

Nobody can convince me that Bowers wouldn’t be a solid ~500 yard 4 TD TE in the NFL his freshman year.

I really wanted to type ~700 yard 8 TDs

This answer is so stupid

If you have freshman allAmerican (which there has been), you right there have the ability to possibly compete in the nfl. Unless you are saying the nfl only takes 3 or 4 college players a year

Basically freak athletes at corner, running back and d end. The 3 positions where you can be highly successful without a lot of learning involved. Corner still has a lot to learn at the nfl level but if your an absolute freak who can cover nfl receivers man to man you could get by. There’s not many of those though

Bowers is a perfect example. That dude is just built differently. If he’s not the second coming of Travis Kelce then I’ll be shocked.

What’s that got to do with the NFL? You can be all-American in college and not be an NFL prospect

I came back to this thread to post this. It's not just hands and speed, every time he catches a ball in the open field he just looks significantly stronger than every single defensive player trying to tackle him. I can't imagine he wouldn't have been able to run a few simple routes over the middle or in the flat last year against some of these NFL defenses
