HS FB players that could’ve gone straight to the NFL out of HS

I’ll admit, this is inspired by Harold Perkins performance today and his entire season thus far as a True Freshman.
Definitely showing my age a little bit, but Hershel Walker and Bo Jackson come to mind. Orlando Pace is another one. I wanna say he only gave up 1 sack in his entire career @ Ohio St? Someone fact check… A more recent player would be Adrian Peterson. Just incredible @ Oklahoma & then on the Vikings.
Who are some other guys?

Marcus Dupree, Derrick Henry, and Leonard Fournette come to mind.
All three had mature builds, and freak athleticism.

Perkins would be a 3rd down pass rush specialist at the NFL level right now.
No shade, he's amazing, but he still needs to add some weight and finish learning a college level playbook.

Derrick Henry is a great answer.

Even that is incredibly impressive as an 18 year old.

I agree, checking his Bio, he’s listed @ 220lbs, definitely has room to bulk up some.

Well physically
Wise Walker, Jackson, could have gone but in todays pro game they would have to be way bett we r at catching the ball to make them effective. And also RB is prob the only position player could do it.

RBs are basically the only answer.

Julio Jones could’ve done it.

Derek Stingley is another.
Definitely not a lot though. It’s not just the physical ability you need in the nfl, but also the mental ability. Fournette physically could’ve played but he was so behind mentally with reading keys and picking up blitzes, etc, that he would’ve been pretty bad.

And Clowney

LSU's left tackle is a man.
He could play pro ball and he's 18.

Clowney is another good answer

There's a reason why the NFL loves the current model.
For a select handful of players that were athletic freaks that were highly touted and actually blew CFB away, there are SOOO many that were can't miss guys that faltered.
