The repeated use of the word vulcan in that story makes me have a hard time taking it seriously.

Scone is awful at hoops talk. He was slamming the head signing like the hornets were passing it off as a big time signing or something....so he's perfect for BR NBA talk

well he has said that he doesn't much follow NBA, and doesn't care much to talk about it, and that this market doesn't follow it.

I should come do his NBA segment for him.

Doesnt matter. Franchise is doomed.

2 months ago I was the biggest Hornets fan in the world and bought season tickets. Now I am done.

Chris Paul is gone in two years. He went from my favorite player in the NBA to my 2nd most hated player.

The organization top to bottom is a joke

You are a sorry excuse of a fan if you have totally quit on this team already. The team we have now is good enough to get a top 5 seed in the playoffs this year and you are done with them?

The whole "disaster" feeling toward the Hornets is being blown way out of proportion.

Btw, don't want to see you on the bandwagon later.

I'm honestly more happy that CP3 is gonna be playing again. It wasn't nearly as fun watching the hornets without him (not to take away from what Thornton and Collison brought to the table)

Did you actually watch them without CP3?

They were much more entertaining without him.

Pritchard lost, and that piece is basically as big a PR ad hominem piece as I've ever seen to try to explain to the city of Portland (who loved Pritchard) why the Blazers were justified in firing the best GM they ever had.

Even if it's all true I have to wonder if what he's accused of is all that bad. Yes he is accused of turning on his boss, but for what?

1) Going beyond the limits they established for resigning Brandon Roy and trying to convince Roy he was on his side by throwing ownership under the bus creating an Us against The Man bond.

I would have no problem with the GM using those tactics to make sure Paul stayed with the team long term.

2) Complaining about his pay and trying to bluff his way into a raise.

I don't know how poorly he was paid but he wasn't happy he was making significantly less than McMillan. Pay the man a decent salary and this won't be a problem.

yeah, it was awful when i there cheering for Dan Dickau and Bokie Nachbar.

Chris Paul is best friends with Lebron. He just hired Lebron's people. That is all I need to know. You are the company you keep.

Chris Paul will submarine this franchise any chance he gets at this point. Cut bait

What is wrong with getting something for Chris Paul while you still can? He doesnt want to be in NO, he has more trade value now than in 6 months when he starts trashing the team publicly.

3 weeks ago I said it would be absolutely insane to trade the face of the franchise. But he has already made up his mind. Better to cut bait now than have "The Decision 2" in 2 years

John Hollinger:

- Unless you think Peja, Posey, Mo Pete & Rasual Butler all were overrules by mgmt, please spare me the righteous indignation about Jeff Bower

- Hornets got issues, yes, but they were among the worst cap managers in the league.

Why does Chouest keep getting equal billing with Shinn in every press release? This is the worst transition of power ever if that's what's going on, but if Shinn were still in full control and planning to hold on long term you'd think Chouest wouldn't keep getting mentioned like this wouldn't you? I hope this mess gets sorted out before the season.

I'm not saying it suggests any truth to the spin about there being an equal partnership with little birdies singing on Shinn and Chouest's shoulders, I'm saying it suggests the doom and gloomers are wrong. 3 things can happen.

1) Shinn sells to Chouest
2) Shinn and Chouest stay in the current majority/minority owner relationship
3) Chouest can't take it anymore and the team moves

Has Chouest ever been so regularly mentioned before? I haven't noticed it. Why would the Hornets do this if scenario #2 or #3 were happening?

Chad Ford thinks the hornets should hire Dennis Lindsey

Pritchard has a history with Monty Williams i would guess from Portland
