Saints get OL Asim Richards and a 2028 seventh-round pick.

Cowboys get a 2028 6th-round pick.

And Mac fairly made this point the other day, more fair than he usually is.

Where is Mac making this point? I thought he gave up following the Pels.

For those that care:
Kiper - Saints taking Dart
Jeremiah/Lance - Mykel Williams
Dane - Malaki Starks

Jeremiah just updated his mock and has us taking Jihaad Campbell.
We would also need to factor in the compensatory pick we would we receive if we simply let Young walk.

Yeah, This Old Sea was the highlight of the show for me (other than maybe Disco Inferno). Damn shame that they booked Republic. They have no business playing at a venue like that at this point. Should have been at a theater. Otherwise, great show and can't wait to see them again (hopefully somewhere more spread out).

Agreed. That Disco Inferno was hot.

He may be a great coach.

I said repeatedly last year that I wanted Griffin to make an "inspired" hire. Look for greatness in someone that hasn't had the chance yet, that is innovative, etc.

And then he hired the literal exact opposite of "inspired".

Vaughn sort of feels like that, although not nearly as bad as SVG.

I'd prefer to give someone like Lee a shot, or Billups, Weaver, etc.

He was HC 6 years ago with a dreadful team. I'm not saying he will be successful at his next stop, but his Magic experience shouldn't define him as an "uninspired" hire. Nets fans and players love him.

That said, I'm drinking the Lee Kool-Aid. But, I wouldn't view a Vaughn hire as lazy/uninspired.

pretty much anyone?

Gentry is one of the worst HCs in the league, if not the absolute worst.

Again, nice man. Great assistant coach. Completely awful HC.

So, let's just ignore last year's Portland sweep?
Any names being floated re: his staff?

Without saying too much, we have 3 spots to fill now. The other 3 have been filled with guys on board.

Guessing Lee, Hampton, Williams on board.

So last year wasn't a leap?

Do you prefer to stay close to The Loop? Are you open to any neighborhoods?

Ideally, yes. But, we're open to going to other neighborhoods. We're staying at the Loews.

Perfect list. Thanks!

Need a casual lunch spot with drinks in Chicago. We have early dinner reservations at Girl and the Goat for 5 pm, so we're not looking for anything too heavy. Any suggestions?
