I kinda lost a lot of love for college football with the transfer window and companies buying recruits.

I've been way more interested in the NFL the last few years and that would have never been the case before all of the NIL and transfer portal nonsense. If I'm going to watch paid players, I would rather just watch the professionals in the NFL. Also, at least in the NFL you get to see mostly familiar faces on the same teams from year to year vs. in college you have no idea if a lot of the players on a team will be there the following season.

College games don't have that "must see" feeling anymore.

Just wait until the first playoff bound team rests its starters in the last week or conference championship game. That’s the next domino to fall.

The high stakes feeling of college football games are not what they used to be now that 12 teams can get in. It doesnt feel like life or death anymore

So in your opinion Texas vs Georgia (for example) is LESS life or death than it would have been 10 years ago?
That means you think playing spoilers (Texas in this case) is more motivating than trying to get a spot in the playoffs. And that's just crazy.

the auto bye for conf champions was there to somewhat prevent this. People complained about that, and now it's gone.
With that being said, I think we're a long long ways away from teams not giving a frick about conference titles.

There is zero reason to have conference title games. They are meaningless and are horrible for the loser. Crown the regular season champion.

No auto bids—top 12 period. It is a playoff after all.

100%

College football blows now. I've watched 1 game this year total

Don't care anymore. NIL, transfer portal and nonsensical conference realignment have ruined it

I think we will see opt outs from players on playoff teams not eliminated

Also not too far from mid season transfers or even trades

And unlimited eligibility

CFB blows now. I don't care. Especially because rosters turn over so much year over year cant even watch players develop.

OSU/Indiana will be borderline meaningless if they are undefeated.

I can totally understand how LSU fans hate cfb right now. Since Bama is doing well, I've been following it slightly more than last year. I am enjoying NFL this year a lot more due to more involvement in fantasy football.

I’ve always liked the nfl more but I’m even moreso becoming disinterested in college football. I don’t watch much college football anymore besides LSU.

The pageantry and tradition are all but gone, and if I’m going to watch guys get paid like professionals, I’ll just watch professional football.

Both are nearly unmatchable this year.

Now that college is professional, I pretty much only watch the NFL.

If LSU is good, I will watch that, but otherwise I have lost interest.

I agree that things have changed.
I used to watch teams, and as the players moved through and got better year to year.
Portals and NIL and the hired gun QBs have made it different. In addition, the NFL hasn't ticked me off although the females interviewing coaches during the playing parts of games is not a positive.
I find myself napping through both.

No because I can watch just about any college game I want with a basic streaming package, while the NFL gives me access to less than half of their games. Hard to invest in the NFL when you can’t watch.
