From 1982 to 2007 Alabama won one national championship. They were fairly ordinary during those years, winning a handful of SEC championships. They dominated a 20 game or so stretch between late ‘91 and mid season ‘93. Outside of that period , they were Ordinary. They will be ordinary again after he retires.

Here’s the issue with Saban and why he left the NFL, the man cannot handle not having an incredibly stacked deck. The SEC has started to get stronger and he’s seeing it’s not going to be a cakewalk for him any longer. A strong LSU and Tennessee is his worst nightmare

We made his arse quit.

But on a serious note. Isn't everyday of life we all live closer to retirement than we've ever been.

Everybody just wants to predict the “demise” of saban. You cant win it every year. Not only that the dude has lost so many assistants year after year.

He will coach probably until he knows he can no longer be competitive anymore.

Considering this is a guy that would stack his pickup basketball team and cheat to make sure he always won, yeah he’s going to quit coaching when he knows he can’t win anymore, and NIL is changing things really quickly.

Saban is a great coach but there has been a sea change in college football between transfer portal and NIL.

I don’t blame him at this point

Yeah, I get it

This is exhibit A in the case of LSU fans are complete morons.

You beat him by one point in OT at home. And they were at best the 3rd best team in the SEC.

Kelly beat a guy with a Heisman QB and a stable of Top 5 recruiting class with a make shift team of portal transfers put together in January.
