neither Mays nor Howe were at their best when I saw them but I can say I saw them play live

Baseball- Sammy Sosa (during the '98 season). He isn't what you would call and all-time great, and he took steroids, but that's my answer.

Football- Kurt Warner?
Basketball- Kobe Bryant
Hockey- a Kingfish player?

Basketball- Never been to an NBA game, Evan Turner (weak, I know)
Football- Peyton Manning
Baseball- Ken Griffey, Jr.
Hockey- Wayne Gretzky
