Floyd is going to throw the fight for a huge amount of $$ to boost LP's rep, thus earning him more in future fights.

Floyd will make him look like a fricking fool.

This belongs on the OT, not MSB

I’ll be fascinated to see the results. Jake is the better boxer and athlete but Logan is bigger.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Logan pays Floyd some extra $ under the table to make him look good. If Floyd doesn’t totally dominate the fight you know something is up.

So, Floyd still cherry picking opponents to pad his record.
Last fought McGregor, a MMA fighter with 0 professional boxing matches to his credit and carried him into the late rounds before stopping him.

The motivation for Money is money. A lot of it. This is an exhibition match with close to zero threat to him for a huge payday.
Yep, going to be the easiest money of his career.

If Logan Paul goes the distance against Floyd that would be an amazing achievement. He doesn’t even have to win a single round

Jake Paul is better at boxing than Logan Paul. Not that either has a chance in hell, but Jake is the one with talent.

Unlike Askren, though, I'm betting Floyd gets the lion's share of the PPV backend. Paul will be happy with his $10 million, while Floyd will walk away with $50+ million.
Who is buying this shite? Didn’t it already get postponed due to lukewarm sales?
There is zero doubt what the outcome will be. At least Jake Paul’s last stunt had some intrigue. Floyd could go 12 rounds and not get hit if he wanted to.

I don’t really understand the motivation for Floyd

Floyd made $275 million to basically have a sparring match against a dude who had ZERO chance of beating him. There’s similar motivation in him taking this fight.

Anyone that pays money to watch this is a fricking fool.

People forget. Mayweather was knocking fools out early on. He can and will do it for entertainment value. This is the time to do it.

This.
Mayweather is an all-time great. He won by KO/TKO against Diego Corrales, Phillip Ndou, (old) Sharmba Mitchell, and Ricky Hatton. He's still the only loss on Canelo's record from a complete clinic he put on in that fight. I've always believed that fight made Canelo who he is today.
As others have said. This is a glorified sparring match for an easy payday. No downside. Against a guy who is not terrible but there's a difference between the Paul brothers and professional boxers. Much bigger difference between the former and world class.

quote:How much money is it really going to produce though? Didn’t Askren get like 500k? Obviously Floyd would get a lot more but I doubt it’d be something absurd. To me it just seems kind of lame for someone who is in the conversation of GOAT of his sport to be partaking in a reality show fight. But hey, get your money I guess.

He will beat Logan then will fight the brother jake and make more money

The bizarre thing would be Floyd losing his unblemished 50 fight 50 win record to fricking Logan Paul, hell he could slip and fall into Logan's fist.
From a technical standpoint, Logan has 4 inches and 40 pounds on Mayweather, though I doubt Paul even gets a serious glove on him once.

Floyd got $9 million for a 3 round exhibition against Tenshin. With how well the Askren fight did PPV wise (>1 million), I would expect Floyd to make a decent chunk of change.
Shamefully, I am actually somewhat intrigued by this. It’s basically what Saenchai (Muay Thai fighter) has done for the last few years — give up a bunch of size to fighters who can’t touch him skill-wise and frick them up. Definitely more interesting than watching Ben Askren box.
