In the show, Duron mentioned 60% of the kids attending the school or playing received financial aid. Wasn't clear which. That's quite crazy honestly.

I guess the facts scare you. Not my tribe anyway

Once you have to curse at me you prove you are in over your head.

Wasn’t Keith Barefield the HC at Evangel after he was HC at Evangel College?

This is absolutely false. Rick Berlin, Brocks father played with Duron at LA Tech and was involved with the ministry. He was on the original coaching staff.

Here lies the problem. Evangel has turned into a inner city private school by giving vouchers. It's decline is because former tuition paying families don't want their kids going to an inner city school of any kind. Especially when the inner city kids are free.

Bad judgment on the part of Duron.

Have to ask. Is the main building an old car dealership? B3cause I swear that's what it looks like when they drone up from the front view in the show ;lol:

started watching yesterday. Like you said the production is less than desirable and somewhat cheesy. I ended up fast forwarding through each episode and just watched them during the Friday night game.

The narration (acting like radio for the game) is obviously added in for the documentary. The utility Olineman who came there 1st year seems kind of forced. The Cancun Bomber nickname seems way too forced. Not a well done documentary so far, 4 episodes in. Yet I’m still watching it since it’s local

When this was announced at West Monroe, the rumor was, the entire school stood up in class and started cheering.

While I'm sure there were plenty of WM fans happy about this, the fact that people think it was announced on the morning intercom and the whole school cheered speaks volumes about the naivety of our population.

Calvary is the place to be in Shreveport. Top notch facilities, leadership etc. Great parental support and great environment K-12.

r a couple of the boneheaded decisions like trying of run it in against Bama

This would include the “high school audible” late in the game in the loss to UAB. On the post game show, the host says “and now we go to Gordy (?) in the locker room with head coach Nick Saban” and immediately, you hear Saban say “I could fricking kill that guy”. There was like five seconds of dead air, and then “Gordy Rush here in the locker room with Nick Saban….”

Regarding the initial comments, while there is obviously some negativity involved
on both sides, I think most
Tiger fans view him as a part of the Tiger family and history, and vice versa.

I think he is thinking of brent rawls who transferred in to Evangel from OK played WR as a Junior and he played QB as a senior IIRC

JT Curtis talked at length about why they only played up to 4A in the 90s and early 2000s, had nothing to do with FB. They felt 4A was the ceiling for their girls sports to play up and still be competitive.

A friend of mine moved to Shreveport and enrolled his daughter in Calvary a couple of years ago. He pulled her out after 3-4 weeks because it was obvious the academics were not close to what they were used too.
