Maybe I'm in the minority, but I bought NCAA last year and played for about a month. I played the hell out of the original series, but I have no desire to play it again. The basketball game I have even less desire to play. Give me an NCAA baseball game and I'm on board though.

People weren’t expecting the CFB game to outsell Madden 2x over until it did. Projections were maybe 25% of Madden. The domino effect is real. NBA 2K has been the same game for years now, the new car appeal of CBB will definitely put a dent in 2K’s sales.

I still fire up my copy of College Hoops 2k8 every once in a while. Legitimately great game.
I used to buy the EA game annually, but they were just okay, at best, over the final years. And I don't ever remember the franchise being beloved like NCAA Football was.
EA basically killed NBA Live around the same time College Basketball went away, so they couldn't figure out how to make a great basketball game in general. It'll be interesting to see if they can do it now.
