Here is Sark admitting out loud that a player on his team is "technically ineligible". And...crickets

they want to suspend us for recruiting pros when Harris has admitted OM recruited him first?

Punishment of any sort is going to result in serious litigation that neither party wants, this is pure posturing. LSU hasn't broken any rules.

These kids had an argument for more eligibility, LSU said sure, courts agreed, conference is throwing a fit.

OM just won a game on the back of an ineligible player and no one cares.

100%. Dick measuring contest. LSU and lane barked back after initial clap back from sec.

So now sec is trying to swing the biggest dick if them all, while rest get in line and follow order.

How?

The halftime comments?

Unlike Texas, LSU didn’t actually roster a player who went pro.

The financial blow to the SEC wouldn't end up being all that bad in the long run.

Getting their brand new ESPN/ABC deal terminated for breach would be a tough pill to swallow.

The SEC is going to look weak when their vote doesn’t pass to kick out LSU. Then, when their lawsuit gets tossed, they’re opening themselves up for a massive countersuit by LSU.

Really dumb on their part there.

ETA: If they actually had any power, they would have exercised it already. Instead, they’re running to the federal court begging them to force LSU to play nice. I mean, the vote is going to be the final nail in the coffin because they already look weak.

But the SEC has since added Texas, OU, A&M, and Mizzou and then would replace LSU w/another school w/a large fan base.

Just pretending TV contracts don’t exist and LSU/Clemson just had 10 million people tuned in at one point

what school would that be that would fill that gap?

When it gets voted down they will look so weak

I don’t think they will. I think the intent is to “put LSU in its place”. They won’t vote to expel them, but it will set a precedent that they CAN if LSU doesn’t fall in line. I look at what other schools are doing, and, as an LSU fan, I see it as selective targeting. Lane skirts the edges and is upfront and outspoken about it, and the powers that be hate him for it.

There's either some crucial information being withheld from the public or the people that are in positions of power are as petty as the posters from the rant.

They literally said Kiffins remark at halftime played into this.

Sankey got embarrassed in court, the players attorney ran his mouth, and Kiffins comment is behind all of this. Sankey got triggered.

Is the SEC’s ultimate goal to be able to have their own eligibility requirements?

Outside of Sanky obviously being butthurt.

So for instance these kids in the TRO that didn’t get to utilize 5 in 5 get granted eligibility by the NCAA, the SEC can still say they’re ineligible? But since they have ncaa eligibility they could go to the ACC instead? Or some other conference where they’re eligible.

I don't see it happening myself. LSU is a charter member and my guess is they'll work something out.

also, for the schools that may jump in and vote against us. you're just setting a precedent that the SEC can make up rules as they go and hey even retroactively punish you for them
