The "beat your wife part" will get the headlines, but that was actually the weakest part of the interview.

The rest was really good.

Stern: "I gotta go call somebody important, like Stephen A. Smith...."

After listening to the interview, I think Stern's frustration is that a) he is asked that all the time and b) after asking, Rome followed up and kept asking. The "Do you still beat your wife?" question is a fairly common knowledge example of a ridiculous or loaded question, and I think that is why he said it. To basically say, "This is childish that you are harping on this."

He (Stern) also made a good point that mo matter who wins the lottery, for the most part, people will claim that there is some kind of conspiracy involved that the NBA wanted X team to get the #1 pick.

THAT was the best part and you could tell how pissed Rome was. "Uh, and I'll go call someone else too."

You don't even have to listen to discover that.

For those who can't listen at work, what was Rome's reaction? Did the interview end immediately after?

As douchey as Rome is, he handled it pretty well.
