I remember stern dressing down skip or cowherd a while back for calling New Orleans a terrible basketball city with terrible fans. It was right after the cp3 trade was vetoed. Liked the man ever since.

He is great. I love how he speaks his mind and doesn't worry about being PC. The Colin Cowherd interview was awesome.

We now live in a world where Bryce Harper more expertly deflects a stupid question than David Stern

He wasn't "deflecting" the question.
He was making a point.

I heard the interview live and Stern was the douche in this case. Is it a question he's tired of answering? Sure. Is it still a legitimate question? Yes. It would have been easy enough for Stern to give a legitimate response to a legitimate question but he chose to take it personally and acted like a douchebag. You're the commissioner of the NBA for Christ's sake. Act like it.

I honestly think most of the people sticking up for Stern here are just Hornets fans pumped they have the first pick.

No it isn't. It has been asked a million times, and like others have pointed out, he has no right answer. Theorists will not change their mind. And he actually did give a response, "no". Which is really about as much detail as he needed to go in to. If you answered the same question over and over and people did not even listen to your response, don't you think you would get short with them?

Rome prefaced the question with "There's a lot of talk about the lottery being fixed" and seemed to be giving him an opportunity to make a reasoned explanation as to why it isn't fixed. Stern chose to go in the other direction. And let's face it, with the Hornets being owned by the league, I think it's still a legitimate question when you factor in him vetoing the Paul trade as well.

And for the fact that Jim Rome is one of the most pretentious douche bags in the media today.

Rome bitched out after the S.A.S comment. Stern definitely won that by KO.

Rome was at fault for getting emotional when Stern hit him with the "you made a career of cheap thrills"

Stern is at fault for being an unprofessional douche.

This is the prevalent reason people are siding with Stern here. I will enjoy and celebrate any moment that exposes Jim Rome as an asshat.

Stern is definitely use to getting shitty questioned softossed to him on Mike & Mike. Those two douche bags handle everyone on their show with kid gloves.

Best thing to happen on Rome's show since Larry Brown's crank.

Bill Simmons is the worst with interviews. Hell always get someone that has a lot of controversy and that hes talked a ton of shite about. Then hell build up the interview as a hard hitting honest interview

Then when it comes time for the interview, Simmons drops to his knees and starts gushing over the guy and gives him easy questions or atleast hints him into right answers on hard questions. Oh and then they become best friends afterwards
