Bullpen adds are underwhelming to this point IMO.

I hope we’re not done.

Why don’t we go after a guy like Tony Watson on the FA market?

You have to believe we have found out an asking price on all the quality LH BP arms.

So, I guess it's too much this early in the game.

Do want. It would be expensive prospect wise but Realmuto is good

Above average framer. Above average throwing out base runners. Solid bat. Not sure of his contract but is only 26, so he probably has a few years left of team control on a contract that wont break the bank.

I’m honestly not sure darvish is worth the money he will command. I typically don’t care what other people do with money, but we have some young guys becoming free agents soon.

I’d be cool with a two year 46 deal. He wants long term though and I understand that.

I’m fine with waiting until the deadline but I’m a little concerned about no lefty in the pen. Although I read a really good point the other day...Devo’s numbers against lefties are among the best in all of baseball so it’s good to know we have that

Also would like to see us add another catcher. Bmac will need lots of days off and while I’m cool with Stassi in a limited role, I don’t really like the idea of him starting 40+ games. And that’s if Bmac avoids any trips to the DL. Saw Hundley resigned with SF today and I know he had been mentioned in here before. Not really sure what other options are out there besides the oft mentioned Lucroy

Do the Padres have a catcher? I know Hedges was one of their top prospects and started most games last year but didn’t know if they had a more veteran guy to go alongside him. I’m still holding out hope for a mega trade involving Brad Hand

Regarding my note about Devo in previous post...I found the comment I saw on Reddit which I was referring to

quote:

One thing we have going for us is Devo is basically a lefty, in that he has reverse splits and has the best numbers of ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE in baseball vs lefties.

In 157 PA, compared to 159 PA vs RHB, LHB hit .111/.178/.236 vs Devo. Compared to RHB hitting .238/.314/.448.

Your reference to Devo reminded me about similar numbers put up by Joe Smith vs RHs.

And I think it was Gammons who added on MLBN that Smith's numbers vs LHs were the best they've ever been 2nd H this year.

Y’all should replace Reddick with Jay Bruce. He is from Beaumont and may take a home town discount.

Reddick is better at playing baseball and already on a reasonable contract
