Not an attempt to diminish Luhnow's accomplishments, but I think Angelos shot himself in the foot on this one.
Supposedly the GMs had the deal done, but the owner shot it down, and it seems, hit Britton's Achilles in the process.

Yes, P-Tucker's spot was given to rendon.
Good for Tucker, I hope he can get some steady playing time. I played well down the stretch in 2015. I think he will be a decent NL outfielder/bat eventually.

The Padres released LH Travis Wood after he had a God awful year between KC and SD. He bounced between the rotation and bullpen last year but as a reliever for the Cubs in 2015 and 2016 he had a 2.95 ERA.
The Royals are paying him $6.5 million so he could potentially be a low cost flyer for the pen.

I rewatched the 2017 World Series DVD put out by MLB last night. Started it after midnight following my reading of the 2014 SI article by Reiter.
And during HT of the Saints game, I'm gonna rewatch Reid's interview w MLBN following WS Game 7.
There's just not enough time in the day to watch the Astros win the World Series.

I got this one. A set of grandparents got it for me so it isn’t the most stylish in the world. But it’s wearable for Work etc etc.
