Yes.
Everybody drop Men’s tennis…because let’s be honest nobody gives a frick if we are good at tennis or not. and pick up Men’s soccer. A 32 team playoff in a World Cup format in division 1 would be great exposure, create competition and could be a big revenue generator with TV and stadium bids. You might just discover some players that went unnoticed as teenagers that could actually help the team.

Not only that, he’s the captain

They shrink from the big moment every time they have this opportunity. It’s who we are at this point.
But realistically we’re a mediocre team who rode the wave of momentum of the home field & playing against a weak group to get this far.
We’re a LONG way from being among the worlds best

Tell that to the ‘80 men’s hockey team.
It all starts with one upset, like it did for them against Czechoslovakia in 80. After that the belief is there and the sky is the limit.
Now…Belgium is not that team. But if you win tonight you’ll get that opportunity against Spain or Portugal

I love international soccer. And I love tournament soccer. I have no interest in club soccer.
Playing for your country means more. And the tournament setting brings that out, so I watch every World Cup, every international friendly, every cup qualifier that’s televised, every Gold Cup, Every Copa America, and if we ever get back to the Confed cup I’ll watch that too.
And I’ll even watch the Euro tournament even though I have no dog in the fight

The key to this run has been our center defending. Richards & Ream have locked it down in the back this tournament.
I’ll be really interested to see how they withstand more pressure and better set pieces tonight. I think they’re up for the challenge

There has been some great stuff today. The National Geographic folks with the 7 wonders of America piece was great.
Only thing that pissed me off all day was the Nola “celebration.” It was nothing but slavery.
They tried to go there too with the white and black dudes who were both descendants of Thomas Jefferson but those 2 guys wouldn’t go there.

Even the scum networks stepped their game up today.
There may be hope for us yet.

UClub can’t satisfy the golf demand they have. They desperately need another 18 out there instead of more subdivision filings

Played Raven yesterday. Beautiful course. Very well maintained. Greens were still a bit sandy and on the slow side but got faster as the round went on.

The old inflatable ball in between the forearms or band around the elbows aid will help you with this. Just got over a bout of this last season

Update:
Went to the range yesterday. I put a head cover down right outside of my ball and never touched the thing. Left pull was still there. I’m not steep coming into the ball. That much I know.
I worked a lot with an inflatable ball between the forearms to neutralize my hand position to be square at impact. It mainly pops up when I get tired. I’m either standing up once I start the downswing or shallowing the club too much it feels like when I get tired. Downswing feels rushed when I get like this. The only variable I haven’t messed with is the grip.
I still think it’s a club face at impact issue. Going to try to go back Friday and experiment with a slightly more open face at address, or possibly weakening my grip a touch (I have a very strong grip)

Any drills that helped you knock it out?

Was your pro asking you to work on a cut to use on the course or more of a swing thought to help with your hook. I know that can be used at times by coaches to cancel out a swing flaw by trying to do the opposite.
Yes it was more of a swing thought but obviously I’m over exaggerating it.
The root problem is too closed of a club face at impact, and maybe a touch of hips clearing too early. Early in the round it’s a beautiful baby draw. As the round goes on and I get more tired, the pull hook comes out and is damn near impossible to get rid of at that point. I’m trying to figure out something I can employ on the course when it gets like that and I’m in pull hook jail on every shot

I’m a natural drawer of the golf ball. In a recent lesson, my pro was working on fixing my hands at impact to eliminate my pull hook which tends to creep up on me pretty regularly.
So as a solution he had me start working on a cut shot. Open stance, ball forward in stance, out to in swing path.
Well since then every time I try to hit a damn cut I’m open face shanking the piss out of the ball almost dead right.
You fellas know anything I might employ, as a natural draw shot to hit an easier cut shot that doesn’t result in the full on shanks? I’m worried I might be headed down the wrong path

I’ve played most of them.
Kelly - always immaculate. Ice cold apples on #10 Tee hit the spot. We did have an issue with a marshal up our arse for no reason last year. Never mind it was 2 groups in front of us that was the problem.
Regatta - Nice course after the renovation. When I played it was hot as hell and soft from recent rain. Only way to play it at an affordable price is to tee off after 10 am which is suicide in the summer. In my opinion it’s not worth the $200 for an early morning tee time. Course employees were great though. Constantly bringing you cold towels.
Emerald Bay - I’ve thought about booking here multiple times, but I read some reports that the bugs are horrendous on that course and it’s like playing in the middle of a plague.
Indian Bayou - really fun track. Best value of the good Destin courses. Course employees were great. Greens were immaculate. Would play again anytime
Raven - ive kept an eye on Raven for several years and finally going to play it next week when we’re down there.
Windswept - never played it
Seascape - the City Park of Destin, minus the historical part

You clearly don’t follow the league closely then. There were a handful of guys who got called up to the ECHL this year
