Not really about player salaries

Cheap in regards to coaches, scouts, other staff and facilities.

45 million total may be reasonable

A QB will get 60M next year (Hurts?), and someone will get 70M the year after that (Lawrence, Tua).

We're heading toward a great reset similar to when #1 overall picks were getting 70M guaranteed and flaming out at greater than a 50% rate. The league and NFLPA are going to go war over a hard cap per player in the next negotiations.

Doubtful it explodes at that rate unless the revenue rise at the same rate, in which case the owners won’t give a shite

Yeah this will never happen

ETA not to mention the CBA is locked in until 2030 currently

We’re going to reach a stage where teams recycle rookie contract QBs as a strategy instead of a circumstance if these deals for mediocre/bad starting QBs keep rising

Incredible, when everyone was giving the Texans shite for signing Osweiler to 4 years/ $72m with $37m guaranteed in 2016, you would have sworn it was the worst contract ever for a QB.

Giants should sign him now while they can. If they keep kicking the can down the road they'll end up like the Cowboys w/Dak and have to pay him even more.

Dak showed more promise in his rookie deal than Daniel Jones has.

All because the team had success, doesn't mean Jones is the catalyst. Now he wants top 5 money? That's absurd

shite let Daboll get his own guy in the draft.
He is a proven QB whisperer with Allen and having a non-trash year out of Jones.

Agreed. I'd rather go find a rookie QB in the draft than pay that price for Daniel Jones. shite, the 49ers drafted Brock Purdy in the 7th round at 262nd, Mr. Irrelevant, and look how good that pick turned out. He got the 49ers all the way to the NFCCG before he got his UCL torn in his throwing arm on the first drive.

Burrow, Hebert, Tua will all get between 45-55m a year. Lawrence and Hurts will then start at negotiating at 50m
